'12 JUCO DB Otis Jacobs (A&M signee)

OCI, really not trying to put you on blast, but you made several comments over the last 2 days about how these next few days would change our mind about this class and to expect good news. Is there something we're missing here? Or did you just have bad info?

Lol. Just now noticing?

He said he was good with everything until yesterday when he started thinking about the depth charts. He said he studied them and felt like with Tennessee returning it's starters and backups he felt like the opportunity was better at Texas A&M to play right away.

He said it was a very hard decision and he didn't want to do it like he did, but that he had to do what was best for him.

Can't really blame the kid if this was his line of thinking...just hope he called our coaches and let them know.

It seems impossible that something fishy didn't go on here. Hasn't there been a dead period ever since he committed?

Well, it makes sense. IIRC, aTm loses quite a bit for Sumlin's first year so he probably does have a better opportunity to play immediately.

If he studies the depth charts then he is probably right in his decision. It sucks the way it happened, but we have good DBs in this class and are still looking at some others. DL is where it hurts.

Well we did sign a hell of a lot of DB's last class. Doesn't mean we don't need more cause some aren't any count.

Maybe he looked, and saw something we haven't. If he doesn't think he could win a starting job, then he doesn't think he is much better.

This makes holding onto crawley and mcneil that much more important. I'm not as upset about otis as I am the d linemen.

Honestly, that excuse sounds like a cop-out to me. He was afraid of competiton with our CB's? The University of Tennessee cornerbacks? Lol, please.
