'12 GA RB Mike Davis (USCe commit)

Those that were shocked or surprised by how good Davis is, must not have seen him play before. Do you see why Gator fans are pissed about losing him? He can run between the tackles with authority. Not that one arm tackle and hit the ground on contact, plus he's a threat out of the backfield. Nightmare for some LB trying to cover.

I had a dream last night and that dream was..... good ol' mike wearing the orange shredding tackles running down the sideline for a touchdown against florida.

He's visiting USCjr this weekend. We'll see what happens after that.

Most are saying he'll choose USCjr or UGA...

is he even coming in for a visit?

He has already taken an OV to UT and FSU.

He is scheduled to take OVs to SoCar, UGA, Clem on the next 3 weekends.

His USC recruiter, Lorenzo Ward, was in San Antonio to meet him after the Army All-Star game. He will be on campus this coming weekend.

South Carolina has not hired a running backs coach yet and probably won't have one in place for Davis when he visits but Lorenzo Ward has been his recruiter the entire time that USC has been in contact with him. Jay Graham had some hand in it but Ward was his main recruiter.

Yup. Santos has a little belly on him but that's okay.. wait until you see him after 1-2 years into a college training program. He's going to get shredded and gain quickness/speed. He's already a beast but with his work ethic it's only going to get better.

Pssh haha. That would be a bold face lie.

He could start for us from day 1 if he put the work in. Lane needs a huge offseason.

I know Davis is good, and one of the best backs in this class and would absolutely love to have him but don't sleep on Lane.

Yeah he needs a good offseason to get that knee back to 100 percent but he also needs to get right mentally where he has the comfort level to cut like he used to.

I think once he's healthy he can be a stud for us. He has all the physical tools he just needs to stay healthy all year.

I agree I think too many people are writing him off after just his freshman year and a year out from the ACL. I think he could still be an impact player for us.

I'm not writing Lane or Tom Smith off. Mike Davis is just that good. He's the type of back we need in our offense right now.

Not directed at you man, just meant in general. There has been a lot of negativity towards Marlin on the board, most of which I find unfair.
