If there's a repeat of that argument volnation may explode. He came to Knoxville to play football, in whatever form that ends up being.

My bad, I thought you were saying the coaches shouldn't have played Worley at all. Some think "burning his redshirt" was a travesty. I apologize. :peace2:

I doubt the coaches will play Peterman this fall if Bray stays healthy but if they do, and he performs well, I'll be glad they did.

No sweat bro. I'm just pumped or this season! I live in Ohio and have to deal with suckeye nation around here.... Sometimes I would rather talk to an Alabama fan then these weak scheduling idiots

a little info on Tyler Bray and Nathan Peterman...Gator Dep, you'll enjoy this...GBO!

The morale of the team is totally different than it was last season. Tyler Bray is a true leader and is coming into form and accepting of the role. He is consistent in his practice routine and doesn't take too much special treatment from the coaching staff. He's spending a lot of time with Chaney discussing the playbook and there is a lot chatter about the use of Nathan Peterman in a Newton/Tebow/Whatever running QB for short yardage situations this year. This alone has the team excited simply because it's something new, different, and something they have seen championships won by doing. Bray is our quarterback, obviously, but Peterman may not be the guaranteed redshirt that some of us may think.

- Who is the most impressive underclassman at this point?
Hard to tell right now because we haven’t got to see everyone in pads, but Peterman is a man-child IMO. CP impresses everyone, so I’ll go with Peterman just because it’s different.

Funny you mentioned him, because I was thinking he should be healed enough in a couple of weeks or so to start doing some limited practice. Anyone heard how his physical therapy is going?

I think Dooley had mentioned this during spring practice and think its been assumed that he wont RS. I can definitely see the type of excitement this could bring. As a fan im excited to see this and to get the season started.

Thanks for the update, Rote. Glad to hear my boy is still impressing folks with his abilities.

Last I heard he was fully functional and rearin' to go this summer. The original prognosis was that he would miss the spring game but would be back in time for summer workouts.

It will definitely be interesting to watch if they do install a special "Tebow" package for Peterman. Teams have definitely had success with it but others have struggled. I think it would be a great added dimension for the weapons we're bringing to the table this year.

Thanks for the info, but I thought it was fall workouts he was going to be out for? Am I wrong, I hope so? :hi:

Didn't the guy claiming to be Eric Gordon, aka "moose," say this?

I think he's a friend of the family. Retired police officer, big supporter of Nate, and super nice guy from everything we've seen here.

Guess calling Nate, "my boy" caused MikeD to think I was his dad. :)

Thanks VG, for clarifying it. And thanks for thinking I'm a nice guy. :)

Come on football season!!!!

Anyone have any news on Nate?

Dep

Been reading on TOS that he continues to impress. He's picked up on the offense very quickly, folks are really impressed with his athleticism, and they think he has a great arm. Probably still behind Worley and may be all year, but that's probably ideal for this year anyway.
