Armwood has been the least impressive I have seen them in the past few years. I'm
Only 20 but the past 6 years or so they have been dominant. They haven't been impressive thus far but the talent on that team is unreal. It will be heck of a game and I'm looking forward to watching Nate play. Armwood has been without their starting QB Richardson (considering TN) but teams have been stacking the box and shutting down their RB committed to UF. I think last night he only had 18 yards.

I hope we can hold him down to that!

Thanks OH, very generous of you. I just might take you up on that.

Well, except for the beer, can I switch that to Pepsi? :)

You can't make me say I like a gator... You.... Just ..... Can't.... Do it..... Ah I give up! You the man Dep! Stick around as long as you like!

Hope Nate can convert you over into a VOL. After reading all your updates and watching his game vids this young man should do very well here. I love that he has the wheels to go with his arm when he needs to extend a play or scramble for a first down. The future looks bright for the QB spot at UT.

Really excited about Peterman..has a ton of upside and the right attitude to go along with the talent.

Dep, you're way too nice to be a gator..I don't understand it :)

Hey, there has to be a few exceptions to the rule, right? :)

I owe it to my Mom for raising me right. Did I mention she is from Johnson City, TN? Well she live in Florida now, but she was born and raised up there.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Well, I'm 56 years old and have been a Gator since I learned what a football was. I don't see a complete conversion happening, even though I'm a big supporter of Nate.

However, you will have my support for every game but 1, and even then, I'll be pulling for Nate to have a good game.

Nate has a great knack for extending a play until his receivers get open. I like watching him run, because when he lowers his shoulder, he is dealing out some pain. Being 6'02 and about 210-215, he isn't easy to bring down, and he doesn't slide.

Sure hope we get past Armwood this week. Would love to be in the State Championship game!

Enjoy your Sunday, my friend.

Totally off topic,

Hey Dep,

Yeah I like that he doesn't shy away from lowering the boom on someone but it's a different game in the SEC. He can really get his bell rung doing until he gets the feel of things at the next level.

Johnson City explains everything. :)

Gabe is a senior. He's short but he is muscular and has quick feet. I don't know any particulars on him as far as recruiting. I heard he had some interest from some smaller schools but nothing definite. He had great stats this year, especially considering he only played a couple of complete games.

Oh I'm sure they will change his mentality when he gets up there, and he will know when to deliver a hit and when to get down.

Armwood's coach said he was Aaron Murray with the athleticism of Robert Marve. Not a bad comparison. Marve tore up FL HS football.

I don't see how rivals has him as #10 pro style qb and chattanoogas Voytik #4..that seems really high for somebody we didn't recruit from our back yard.

I thought the same thing. Why not go after Voytik? Now with that said, I'm excited about Peterman; he's already family.

But wasn't Nick Stephens a #4 QB, maybe we should stay away from that number :p

For the same reason the staff didn't go after the #1 rated QB. Didn't think he was the right guy for the job. No disrespect to the player, but it's sometimes less about talent and more about fit.

Hey Gator, I don't want to go through 59 pages of this thread to try and find where someone may have mentioned this.... does Peterman run a pro-style or shotgun offense in HS? And if he is shotgun, have they run any plays that suggests he could run a pro-style? Thanks in advance.

The answer is yes to both. They run a pro style but go from the shotgun as well. He can play from under center.

He isn't a one trick pony. :)
