'12 FL DB A.J. Leggett

His cover skills are similar but he's more physical imo. Leggett is closer to Mike Harris.

I'll take that especially with McNeil backing him up. 2013 Starting secondary of:

FS: Randolph
SS: McNeil
CB: Bonner
CB: Leggett

Reserves CBs: Coleman, Gray, and Tino
Reserve S: Moore(if he hasn't stepped up at CB) and Blanc

That would be a major step forward for our secondary. Has potential to be one of our best secondaries in years.

At this point Bama will have 5 star safeties that can't get off the bench for three years.

It'll be like QB's at USC in the early 2000's.

We're catching up well on starter quality, but we have a WAYS to go on building quality depth to match those two.

That said, I see the LSU ship starting to break up. It will take a few years to see, but mark my words, after the NCG and the outright public direspect that team showed toward Miles, I have a feeling they'll have issues. Even after our debacle of a season we had we didn't see anything publically to that extent. It's arguable, I know, but LSU players outbursts were way worse, IMO.

I was thinking the same thing. Saban has a boatload of big time safeties down there.

And this is exactly why ranking don't mean as much as people think. You want recruits that are filling NEADS. Only two saftey's on the field at one time. Kind of like if you sign three 5* qb's in the same class. You really only benefit from 1.

Great competition is beneficial.

Boy people really dislike Eric Gordon. Am I the only one who liked the way he played at nickel last year?

people need to really lower their expectations on what they expect from incoming freshmen.

He plays great against the run and on really short routes. But Arky really showed everyone why Gordon can't play in a lot of situations.

If you're basing it on the Arkansas game I'm not sure anyone on our defense or special teams should see the field next year.

That game showed his lack of speed more than anything. He's a 2 down corner which is funny in a sense. I love his heart though and how he plays in the run game.

I think with younger players you have to first teach specified positions, then diversify to multiple positions when you have mastered YOUR position. I disagreed with Wilcox's cross training of multiple positions when some guys couldn't do their primary position adequetly.
