Speaking of eating...starting to get a little giddy over McCullers as well. Vols could have up to four legit dts for the first time in many years

That's why I think we can start winning. Still concerned in the secondary, but we were young there.

McCullers was the biggest recruit we've signed, possibly in UT history. Can you recall any bigger ones?

only if Nevin still dropping off cash. :birgits_giggle:

Or Golden could try telling the young man that God gave him a dream that he was meant to coach him. It worked for a certain ex-coach of uf.

I am friends with the CEO of Krystal's son. He is just like Niles Crane, Frasier's brother. Very odd duck. He went to UT for grad school and had to call his mother in Chattanooga to tell her anytime he was going into the dreaded "Fort."

Just a tidbit of knowledge.

Dave Hart is my battle captain if he makes this happen. Dude wants to win. That's all I care about. At some point, high character athletes can only take you so far. Sometimes you gotta go out there and get the dummies that can run a little faster and play a little harder. I'm all in.

Tiny and that toeina kid were pretty big. McCullers looks like he ate the reviez boys...then had Fuad for dessert

Massive... it really is a bit impressive that Dooley is pulling this class off after being that close to the finish line. Wilcox and other moves really added time to his contract as Hart had to committ to a lot of contracts.

It's early, but I'm thinking he has a shot at pulling this off if his new staff can handle the coaching part. Of course, that's because I maintain the unpopular view that Chaney is good OC.

I think things were touch and go for Dooley as late as two weeks ago. I also think sunseri is a better fit for UT even though Wilcox will be a very successful head coach soon.

I just don't think Dooley is the has the x and o experience that his level of involvement requires. I want to win. Could care less who is coaching once the winning starts. Hope it is sooner rather than later

If by chance Leggett is a take and can make it into school, the combination of him Bonner and Mcneil could at some point make the secondary as good as we have ever seen at UT. Its great to run a 4.3 but id rather have instinctive corners that can hug the hip of a wr.

Agreed.

Totally agree with all of that, except I'm less convinced on Wilcox. We never really got a chance to see what he could do as it was always patchwork with personnel. He may be a good one, but I like Sunseri for us a lot better.

It feels like rebuilding... finally! :hi:

If Wilcox doesn't become a plus recruiter, he isn't getting there. The defensive coaching wasn't impressive enough to make me believe at all. The UF gameplan looked awful.

If he is smart enough to keep his little buddy with him he will be fine. Florida was particularly bad. Can't argue with that

Berry and JJ in the same defensive backfield were really formidable. I won't believe anyone is Eric Berry until they prove it.

Maybe add Evan to mix in a couple of years, and that could be secondary of the level you speak.

We've had some real bad arses at these positions.... Dale Carter and Roland James were Berry-like.

It feels like we're getting UT-worthy talent again.
