heres my thing, I dont buy one bit that a guy who hasnt been playing football his entire high school career is now somehow "waiting on an offer from FSU" and its his dream school. I could be wrong but a kid who wasnt in love with the sport enough to play it til his JR yr is NOW "waiting on an offer"

I dont know him from Adam but I believe if FSU offered, it wouldnt shut down his recruitment.

rb looks to be his more natural position to me. not very impressed with this kid as a lb. doesnt look to be too instinctive, very choppy and deliberate in his change of direction. im sure he can improve considering hes new to the game. mostly arm tackles, doesnt look good in coverage. this sounds like a case of a guy who really looks good in shorts and a tshirt and has the measurables. not really sold on him as a player though. he looks like a decent running back prospect to me and its fairly obvious thats his most natural position

The problem here is we don't need project linebackers. We need proven prospects that can be counted on as being solid contributors within their first few years on campus. Maybe one project in this class, tops, at LB

Project or not, I like this kid. He's still got a season to get better and bigger. If Thompson and Sirmon think this kid can play, that's good enough for me.

Just watched the highlight videos, and I really like the way he runs. It is almost like he doesn't even know what his body is capable of doing yet.

i'll take a kid who the coaching staff likes over someone the message board clan here likes.

I can tell you there are so many schools showing interest it has been almost overwhelming for him. Tennessee LOVES his potential at LB. His ceiling is greater than any 2012 prospect according to the staff.

Yes I know him. He is a good kid, intelligent too. Has an Ivy League offer.

I was impressed at how well spoken he was in his interview. He was veary clear and not a lot of pauses to insert an ".......um", or "you know". Not sure that it equates to improved play on the field but it would sure make the University look better on post-game interviews.

Exactly how old is he? To me he just seemed a little young in his interview for a junior. Not physically though haha

Marcus is a very quiet kid. He is a man of very few words and actually comes across as a little shy. Also remember all this attention is new to him. He has literally come out of nowhere on the recruiting scene.

Athletically he compares to the Dolphins 2nd Round pick RB Daniel Thomas who is from the same HS.

"I’m going to Tennessee with my AD [Athletic Director], two of my coaches, and my basketball coach," Allen said. "Then I’m going to try to make it to some of the Florida schools, some of the Georgia schools, Kentucky, Louisville, and Duke."

"I’d say my favorites right now are Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, Illinois, and Boston College," Allen said. "All of those programs have a lot of the main things I’m looking for."
