'12 D.C. DB Kenneth Crawley

Only dropped to 19 because we asked 3 kids to look around, 2 didn't have the grades and 1 will be replaced with a more talented LB. All that matters is our ranking on NSD and it's going to be top 10.

McCullers, Bourque, Q. Davis...3 4stars right there that are all but locks for UT. If they committed today we'd be in 12th or better with a few more commits to go...

If we traded the three we asked to shop around for those three, I would say we upgraded our class a good deal. Let's hope they all commit soon.

Davis is my only question of the 3. I think the other 2.. are more than likely locks. Liking Davis too, just not too sure.

I agree, I feel more confident about Bourque and McCullers, though I've not Davis's his recruitment a ton. I wouldn't be sad about a surprise from Patterson either. Just saying.

I do blame the gov't for their part. DC had a very successful pilot program for giving kids scholarships to private schools. Because of some unnamed politicians and their devotion to an unnamed organized labor group... that program was killed during the last 3 years.

What did the private schools do that gov't schools don't do... but used to do...? They provide the concrete moral direction and discipline that these kids aren't getting at home.

Education is incomplete without moral/ethical training. Good partents give that at home. The American "left" has prevented that in public schools because of their overreaction to any possible religion based moral influence in public education and misapplication of the establishment clause.

Until we either privatize all primary and secondary education or else undo the harm of 100 years of progressive legislative and judicial "success"... these problems are not going to be fixed. It is unfortunate but those homes are well beyond fixing themselves. The only way to get out is to train the children coming out of those homes somewhere else... like the 8 hours per day they spend in class.

Sjt--

Just wanted to tell you that you always have very well articulated and logical arguments.

I enjoy reading your posts. Inteligent and Good stuff

Grades.....? Dooley must be bulletproof. Nothing seems to be his fault. SMH

Yep, grades. The SEC has somewhat strict rules as far as which classes count, test scores, online courses etc.

He may end up at Colorado or in the Big East. JMO

You'll take Davis, & like it.

Oh most definitely. Heck, I'll take any player that people are comparing to Patterson. I. That post also, I was trying to say I've not followed his recruitment a ton, but something screwed up on my iPhone.

va tech never got in the mix with crawley from the get go bc they had major concerns

i think he may be worth the risk in the long run.

Kansas is willing to roll the dice

I still think Colorado or somewhere in the big east.... there are kids in every class that have grade concerns and some school always rolls the dice.

He's too solid of a DB prospect for someone not to.

By far the most played out and used phrase on internet boards.... FYI, it's not witty if it's been used 5 billion times already. You see what I did there???

Wow!! You truly provide nothing to this board...your only intent is to stir up emotions and pick fights...I have no idea how you haven't been banned yet

Wrong. The program is a mess.... excuse me for not having the best attitude regarding it. I posted my opinion regarding Crawley's decommitment... not attacking anyone... yet I was the one attacked. Don't shoot the messenger .... ignore me and move on.

And as I'm sure you've noticed, I'm not alone .... many other diehard vol fans share my frustrations. I simply choose not to stand by and watch Dooley apologists make excuse after excuse for him. The UK loss sealed his fate.

I am reality and you're welcome.

Do we have any idea how far off the grades and test score are? That is the key when deciding if it is worth the risk IMO.

If you are in this thread to argue this decommitment isn't about grades then fire away with your side of the argument! Post his GPA and test score. I would like to know those.

All of us "Dooley apologists" will say he needs to be let go if he has sub par year next year. Will you NegaVols say anything different if we have a good year.

Let me answer the question for you: No. It's against your nature. If we go 9-3, you'll b!+ch and moan that a good coach would have gone 11-1. You're completely unable to be objective. If we were to win the SEC, you would just disappear like a fart in the wind. God I hope we win the SEC for 2 reasons now.
