'12 D.C. DB Kenneth Crawley

Wrong. The program is a mess.... excuse me for not having the best attitude regarding it. I posted my opinion regarding Crawley's decommitment... not attacking anyone... yet I was the one attacked. Don't shoot the messenger .... ignore me and move on.

And as I'm sure you've noticed, I'm not alone .... many other diehard vol fans share my frustrations. I simply choose not to stand by and watch Dooley apologists make excuse after excuse for him. The UK loss sealed his fate.

I am reality and you're welcome.

What's hilarious is you believe this...

Your opinion was a nothing more than a blatant refusal to acknowledge the facts of this situation and blindly attack Dooley once again...which is all you do on here besides pick fights with other posters...

I've seen numerous polls done here and on Volquest about Dooley...ranging from "Is Dooley the right guy" to "How many years does Dooley get"...I have yet to see one that wasn't substantially in Dooley's favor...

You're not alone...but you are absolutely in the minority...

You referring to yourself as reality is pure comedy...I'm laughing my ass of at that right now

I agree. ignore him and move on.

Thunder used so many periods in his post that I think he's subliminally letting us know what time of the month it is for him.

thank you, thank you.

All of us "Dooley apologists" will say he needs to be let go if he has sub par year next year. Will you NegaVols say anything different if we have a good year.

Let me answer the question for you: No. It's against your nature. If we go 9-3, you'll b!+ch and moan that a good coach would have gone 11-1. You're completely unable to be objective. If we were to win the SEC, you would just disappear like a fart in the wind. God I hope we win the SEC for 2 reasons now.

I would be pleasantly surprised if we won 9 games. I am a Tennessee fan and want Tennessee to suceed. I personally don't think Dooley is the person to return us to a Championshop caliber team (winning 9 games is not that in case you were wondering) Could I be wrong... certainly. But from what I have seen... I do not think that is likely. And sadly for you, if we win 9 games or an SEC Championship, etc... over the next year or so... I won't disappear. I'll still here posting about my Vols.

I'm not delusional in thinking that 9 wins is Championship level, but in the process of rebuilding and developing, it is the next phase we need to attain to get back there. We still have no quality depth and that will take a couple more years to develop.

Don't remember where I read it, but someone stated that Dooley could be our Mike Shula (minus all the off field stuff) who comes in with bare cupboards, gets some good recruiting classes, but doesn't have a ton of success. Then we hire a huge name. I don't know if this will be the case, but CDD did inherit a rough situation. As long as he's our coach, I'm gonna support him. That's what I do know.

It is a common thing to see opinions change on here with a players choice of schools. If we lose a player you can be sure that the reasons will vary from grades, character, we were in on better players, other schools are cheating, and so on. I always like seeing the grades issue come up and posters point to it is without a doubt the reason a kid decided against the Vols. The problem is that alot of times, the kid then lists 7 other SEC schools as places he is considering. 9 times out of 10 people on here have no damn clue why a kid picked someone other than Tennessee. Thinking up a reason just helps them deal with it. Another good one is when you see a 4-5 star player decommit from us and we pick up a 2-3 star. You can be sure all a sudden our homer fans will point to how the lower ranked player is being screwed by Rivals or Scout and is no doubt a better talent. If you want some laughs, go back and look at Arnett's thread. The same posters bashing him now for being no loss or overrated, felt he was the man when he picked the Vols.

BTW, he was a big part of this class, will be missed, and grades are an issue. Tell me where he said anything negative toward Tennessee or the staff in his decommitment.

Case in point... miss out on a supposed "Vol lock" in Autry and lose long time commit Jacobs to Florida (both 4 stars) on juco signing day yet sign Sentimore (decent 3 star) was thought by many on here a successful day.... and I'm left thinking... wtf??? R u kidding me?

I never said that he said anything negative about the Vols. By all means if you have a copy of his latest grades and test scores, please scan a picture and post them. I am sure that would be interesting to take a look at. Of course, I am kidding and understand that you have no idea what the kids GPA or test scores actually are. It's just easier to say "Grades were a problem".

You are aware that grades being a big concern have been mentioned here in this thread for weeks and they have been confirmed by VQ? This was expected and anybody that says differently hasn't been paying attention.

Ok, step by step here.

A) Autry kicked us all in the nutz, no question there.

B) Most folks figured Jacobs would not be a Vol after that.

C) Sentimore is a beast. 3* ranking is a joke, and you saying what you just said there should prove to everyone on here you have NO clue what you're talking about.

D) Actually, most people do know that, you're just making my work night go by quicker. Thanks!

It has been reported for weeks that grades are a problem with him. Specifically his ACT scores, this was not just something that came up after his decommitment. Like Jay said it was known from the start that virginia tech did not go after him at all because of grades. It is also pretty evident that it is the case when a player of his caliber looks to be likely heading to kansas or colorado. Even on there boards they are saying he is likely a juco player. If he had the grades other SEC schools would be all over him. I know thinking is a skill that eludes you, but maybe you should try it sometime.

I am still waiting on your argument why this de commitment isn't about grades. Give us your reasoning.

I'll appease you.... Timing. It is my opinion, given the current state of the program, that his decommitment is due to the dumpster fire that is our program right now and not grades. You show me proof of your OPINION and ill stand corrected.

That Juco day went about as bad as it could have. Another good read is when UT picked up the Watson RB out of Georgia. Almost immediately people on here were rubbing each others egos with the talk of how much better Watson was than Kimbrow. Ignore the fact that every recruiting service in the country said otherwise. The Homer Vols knew he was just better. Some will never accept UT just missing on a player or a kid just not liking Tennessee.

I remember the Miss State fan who came on here a few days before Autry picked MSU and said he was going to pick State. He was called every name you can think of. There were about 4 pages of nothing but "fail" jokes made toward him. Some poking fun were the ones who claim to know it all on VN. Yes, they looked like fools when it was all said and done.

Wow...this is too easy...I'll let someone else knock this lob out of the park

There is a big difference in thinking, and seeking out a reasonable excuse as to why the kid bailed on our Vols. If you have his grades, please post them. I would like to confirm is 1.5GPA and his 4 ACT score.

So let me get this straight... you are mad that Dooley didn't get a commit from a guy who was RUMORED to be a Vol lock on a message board and had the media PREDICTING he choose the Vols without ever witnessing an interaction between CDD and Autry or speaking with Autry himself about the matter?:hi:

k..

Spoken like a true dumb ass. So you are telling me that fortenberry over at volquest was just making this stuff up for weeks about how academics was a real concern, and could very well go the juco route? Now remember when answering these are the same people that have been very cautious about the defensive coordinator postion and other things throughout the year.
