Four-star ATH Dominique Terrell of Virginia (No. 128 on the ESPNU 150) is still working on narrowing down his list of schools, but a few of them stand out, he tells Nate Adelson of ESPN affiliate InsidetheU.com. First off, Terrell says that this fall he will take an official visit to Miami ... even though he claims to never have spoken to any coaches at the school. He supposedly received an offer last September but hasn't heard a peep from the Canes since. Sounds suspicious to us. (Perhaps Terrell had been in touch with former recruiting coordinator Clint Hurtt, who is now at Louisville, and no one else was assigned to him?)
Terrell also said that West Virginia and Tennessee are recruiting him the hardest, and in fact the Mountaineers may be his current leader. He's been to Morgantown multiple times (including for the spring game) and has always come away impressed. "I like their offense, the spread they run, and I've talked to Coach (Chris) Beatty (the RB coach and recruiting coordinator) a lot," Terrell said. "I really like how he said they're going to use me at the slot position. Their slot receivers are right around my size and they've done big things so that's another big thing."
Could Terrell be the Mountaineers' replacement for Jock Sanders?
