'11 SC QB Justin Worley

I went in and looked at all the schools that have offered Worley, and most already have a QB already committed (UNC, UF, UK, Stanford, UGA w/ no offer)... except for FSU, LSU, ND and of course UT. any thoughts on that?

Our biggest competition appeared to be LSU, who has Justin as their #2 guy behind Brissett. He has options, but UT is the only school out of his Top 5(UT, UNC, LSU, FSU, ND) where he is their legit #1 guy. As most of those schools except FSU, want to take 2 QBs in this class.

As for why he has taken so long on pulling the trigger, he has a great head on his shoulders and wants to be absolutely sure of where he wants to go. UT has been that for the last couple of months, but he wanted to give everybody a chance to recruit him and he wanted to visit all these schools before making his pledge public. His coaches say he is VERY driven and extremely smart. He is SEVERELY underrated by Rivals, Scout, ESPN, etc. in large part because they see him as a "System QB" which is BS. He can play in any system and be successful. He has a very good arm and can read defenses with the best of them. He will most likely redshirt his freshman year, which he is totally cool with, and then be Bray's backup for 2 years and then have 2 years as our starting QB. I cannot wait to watch him win the State Championship this year!

If waiting a few extra weeks for a public commitment means our guy is completely committed to us and won't do any more looking around - then i can live with that. Just a little tough to be patient.

Btw, 28, do you know if Justin will try to be an EE?

I hear ya, I wish he would hurry up and commit just like everybody else. Last I heard he was not planning on being an Early Enrollee due to his last year of Baseball, where he is one of the top players in the South. If that changes, I will be sure to let the board know if that changes.

would like to see him committ soon if he is indeed all Vol. cant think of a Univeristy(that is not on probation) with a better stable of WRs to throw to over the next 4 years! hopefully when/if he does we land a couple o linemen too! :good!:

Is anybody else starting to wonder if the staff wants him to commit right now? We're in on a lot of quarterbacks, some of whom are rated higher than Worley. Just a thought..

I don't think that is the case, however, I am starting to get the impression that the staff wants to land 2 QBs in this class. I would love to land Worley and Brissett.

Def. We are also offering more QBs as of late. Are we sure UT is just taking 1 QB this year?

There was one last year. Orgeron liked him as a DT. He ended up going to Texas A&M, I believe. I think Dobyns-Bennett had the same type guy recently, too.

Jared Lorenzen and Jamarcus Russell are two guys that had the size to play DT.

I think he may be silent as was Posey. Board and reports were just like this with the Posey situation, only difference is Posey had a committ date.. Just a hunch, but usually with this much banter there is something to it...

All I know is Worley has visited like 7 times. He should know by now if he wants to commit. Not sure what the hold up is, unless he was told to hold off.

How much concern do you have of Worley being the next Casey Kelly and going to baseball?

not a whole lot. a guy on VQ who is from the area says Worley wants to play football.

Vader???

Oh he wants to play football, but just not sure where. I assume that's what it is. After 7 visits, he apparently has a hard time making a decision. :)

wasnt talking about sam bradford or colt mccoy, but thanks anyways codyg10... NOT!

I know worley is good. I was commenting on how he got jipped as far as stars go. And yeah yeah I know that stars dont mean anything, blah blah blah.

Oh I thought you ment that you didnt want him because he was a 3 star and I agree he should be a 4 star. If you have as an impressive offer list as Worley and threw for 50 touchdowns in a season you should be a 4 star.
