'11 GA S Brian Randolph

I'm sticking w/ my 01-30 post...

Possible (lineup) options;

C-*JJ, Gordon/Wagner
SS-Brewer, Martin
FS-Moore, Randolph
C-Teague, Lanier, Oliver, Orta

OR

C-Moore, Lanier, Orta, Coleman
SS-Brewer, Martin
FR-*JJ, Randolph
C-Gordon, Teague/Wagner, Oliver

*If returns

With the return of Art Evans, at best, he is a backup at corner and/or in the "Nickel" pkg. IMO

I don't see anyone claiming the corners were some strength of the team or anything. However, it'll be a smashing success if one of these JUCO guys comes in and is able to start and play well right away. Borderline unheard of that we'd get two such guys at the same position in the same class.

Coachs dont recruit and bring in JUCo's if they dont expect them to come in and compete and start. Moore and Lanier will more than likely be starting unless they just absolutely blow, which i doubt.Think both will be beats for us.

Can anyone summarize the recent rivals interview with Brian? :hi:

Not much to it, really. Just says he starts school the first of June and he's excited to get here. He's been working to add some muscle and improve his footwork, but his main goal has been to get his hips more flexible.

Looking like Randolph could be the starting FS by mid-season. Rivals really missed on this one.

not really a miss.

if Janzen's here, he plays special teams and Mop up duty.

proud of how he has stepped up.

The 20 tackles per game he had as a senior didn't tip them off to how good he was? There are some stupid people in this world, and seems most got a job at Rivals

You can't just go by stats...but I agree he was rated too low.

But Rivals had him rated 10 spots higher at his position than Scout.

It's probably a little too early to declare any site/service right or wrong, but don't forget the AJC had him in the Super 11.

I agree that you cannot just go by stats. That really makes scout look dumb.

I remember the GT fanbase was so excited about Marcus Wright a few years back...He was about 5'6 but ran a 4.4 fourty and his stats were crazy..His Sr year he had 335 carries for 3,374 yards and 45 TDs..and he was playing in Texas in a 6A conference...everyone was saying how he should be much higher than a 3*..fastforward a few yeards down the road and it's now his Senior season at GT and he is 4th string for GT at A back...which means he has 6-7 guys in front of him.

However there are guys that we at Rivals and other recruiting sites clearly miss...for example this year I think Santos is one of those guys. He could be the perfect ILB in a 3-4.

The pick he made on the sideline was athletic as hell. He has good size and tackled well. He's going to be a star at safety for us.

SN: Brewer looks like he's cut a lot of body fat off.
