i read on the 247 site that he cancelled his trip tp clemson this weekend might be old news to u guys but its new to me

We hope you are right GT09. After the poster earlier claimed he could be a silent to both Tennessee and Auburn, any clue as to what the Auburn guys on Rivals think?

Good to hear GT09 say that as well. Through the whole process I have thought it would be Auburn for Wright and I'm still sticking with my choice. However lately there has been quite a few reputable people say Wright to UT. Still thinking AU, but I can promise you all if he happened to come to UT then I would never be so happy to be wrong :loco:.

Good to know. Most of the reliable posters on VN are claiming he's a Vol (w/ the exception of Vader). But if I'm not mistaken, jmoore, skeeter and now GT09 have all called him a Vol. I was given information by jmoore that would lead me to believe he's a Vol as well.

I heard a wild and crazy rumor about Gabe last night that I should share. Take it for what its worth, I have not been able to verify. Gabe canceled the Clemson trip because he's coming to Athens with the some other prospects from his high school. Just a rumor right now. If its true, I don't think it really means anything.

its been rumored TWICE, so it must be TRUE

Still not seeing Gabe to the Vols as a certainty.

I think too much smoke from both camps to really know which one he is "really committed to".

Just because he has told our commits that he is a silent to TN does not convince me at all that he is a VOL.

Hope we land him...if we do it will be thanks to mama Wright.

I've got a question...if Wright is truly a Vol then why is he playing Auburn so much? What does he gain from doing all the pro-Auburn things he is doing?

I understand that some recruits like to play the game but Wright is doing it to an extreme I don't think I've ever seen

Clemson's rival board saying gabe will not be taking anymore visits. Don't know how credible they are, but I guess we will see.

*** We've talked to a few contacts closely connected to Wright's recruiting and that in-home visit will no longer be taking place. Wright doesn't plan to take any more visits at this time.

What we've been told is that Wright's mother is running the show and is a driving force behind this decision.

Furthermore, Tennessee is now the clear team to beat for Wright.

We've also been told that Marlin Lane and his father spoke with Wright during the Tennessee official visit, Clemson did come up in that conversation, though we're told this talk had little to do with Wright's decision. I mention it only because of the recent developments with Lane and Clemson.

Basically, Wright's mother is in Tennessee's corner and there aren't any further plans to visit other schools going forward, as it stands tonight. If by chance something changes, we'll let you know.

Side Note: We're told tonight that in the last few days Marlin Lane's father called Dabo and is considering driving up to Clemson for a 1-on-1 meeting with the head coach. We remind readers that Clemson's position here remains status quo.
