The Vols DL situation is about as open as it gets. You don't get to the NC without depth, and that means guys in front of him next year, regardless of Fairley's leaving. What makes you think he can't get playing time at Auburn? Fairly just left for the NFL that leaves the DT position wide open for them as well. As to the talk about his family, he was quoted as saying that they play 35% in his decision. So if the kid likes Auburn, that's where he's going to go. I'm not going to get my hopes up on this kid.
It's also one thing to have the prospect of early playing time for a school that is down and little prospect of them rising out of the doldrums. It's another to fill a major need on a team that is otherwise poised to make some noise the next few seasons.
We hit a home run with Bray, Hunter, and Rodger's. One or two more at DT and we are back in the hunt.
