I also thought that R Drew did not show up for your camp.

I also have access to the private pay for sites. BTW there are a few boards that post all of those articles as well in full.

If you did have access then you would known ray drew was not expected because he was out of town on vacation with his family.

What are you guys going to do if UGA finishes 3rd or 4th in the SEC east and have no coach at the end of the season. Is the feeling all these recruits being sold on the dream team going to stick around.

What are you going to do when UGA wins at least 10 games this year, which CMR has averaged yearly, and has a terrific class? BTW both things IMO will happen, but of course you need to hope we do finish 4th in the SEC East so you have a better chance with our instate guys.

If you want my personal opinion I think UGA finishes 3rd in the east and CMR is gone. No offense but what is so different with the talent now than the past few years. The only thing that concerns me in regard to UGA having a bad season is Kirby Smart leaving and becoming your HC.

In regards to your players, the only ones we are looking at are maybe 3 from your state to add to our class. Now if I was a UGA fan I would be more concerned why so many of your instate players are not sold on the dream team and looking our way. We always do good in GA but this year with the talent in the state of GA and as you say CMR has done great recruiting and the record at worse is 8-5 why are so many not commiting yet and why are we in their top group for choices, combined with the turmoil UT has had over the past 2 years why are they looking to UT. In Texas if they want to go to Texas and get offered they commit without heitation, but why are so many waiting in GA if they see it soo great. That would concern me more if I was a UGA fan.

Well said Tidewarrior. Along with their year after year great recruiting classes and yielding just an 8-5 record (along with a UT trashing of the pups) and a few years ago being preseason #1...and well, we all know what happened that year to them. Well, ga fans should not feel too pumped about their prospects going only by recruiting classes.

Richt is a good man but is proving that he can only take them so far. UT always feels we can beat ga even in down years.

As of the 2009 season, Tennessee leads the all times series 21-15-2

congrats. UGA wins 10 games a year. what does that get you? a little bit better bowl game that still isnt relevant. i am satisfied as long as we beat the dawgs, because i know we are down but will be back competing for championships soon. meanwhile, they will always continue to be a 10 win team and nothing more. I guess if that is good enough for you....

This season will definitely be a cog in the machine, but apparently you are going to surprised that UGA will be just fine in that department.

All great recruits ( not from Texas) will almost always look at many different programs. And even LSU has had plenty of good luck with Texas recruits. Hell, UGA grabbed Stafford from Texas. Having just lived a year in Texas, there is just something different about it. With ATlanta the melting pot of almost all SEC and ACC schools, there will always be outside influences instate here.

As for the talent difference, all I can say is that Bryan Evans started over Bacarri Rambo even though it was obvious which was more effective.

The DTs will be missed but there is plenty of young depth with some game experience waiting in the wings.

More than anything, what is obvious to anyone closely following the program is many changes are being made that speak to a coaching staff re-evaluating everything and a renewed sense of purpose. Yes, 2009 was a bad year and yes 2008 was a disappointment, but let me ask you UT fans here: How well do you think UT would do in the past few years with over 20 first and second teamers lost either for the season or for significant chunks of it due to injury which is what happened to UGA in 2008? I doubt the answer is win 10 games.

Obviously, both Bama and UT fans will believe what they want to believe about UGA. Just don't be too surprised when those assumptions are buried in the dust by the end of the season.

All you dawg fans do is talk about winning 10 games. Who cares about how many games you win if you cant beat your rivals.

What are you going to do when Florida stomps a mudhole in you for the third year in a row? That alone is grounds for Richt to be canned.

This thread has become more than pathetic. Chuck Smith is a great guy and all but Wright and Drew are not going to Tennessee. Neither have had Tennessee in their top 3 at any time in the process. I respect alot of the posters on this site but to talk smack about Georgia when their worst season in the last 10 was 8-5, especially when your team has produced a 5-6 and 5-7 season in the last 5 is hilarious. With the turmoil that Kiffin left the team in and the current transgression of the Vol football players I would assume your fan base would be more humble. Dooley can get things turned around but if you think he is going to land top recruits and have a top 10 class this year I am afraid your just going to be disappointed.

Tennessee is currently #52 in recruiting rankings, with 5 3stars and 2 2stars. I wouldn't exactly call that stellar.

Tennessee never starts off strong in recruiting. Probably has something to do with lack of in state talent. Why would anyone expect this year to be different, especially with a new coach?

This is one of the better years for TN when it comes to instate talent.

still not enough in state talent to be top 10 today if we had them all, imho. having more in state talent this year than normal is a relative comparison.

GTFO. Some people on here are well-informed about the recruiting process. Some people like to be optimistic, sometimes over-optimistic. Nothing wrong with that. Some have the tendancy to be unrealistic. However, no one is sitting here and denying what our program has gone through the past several years. Not like we are happy about it.

It's July and stars don't mean jack before their senior seasons even begin.
