11 FL OL Marcus Jackson (UT commit)

I was thinking he was a cane lock, but I'm not sold on that yet. If he isn't sold on Miami getting back to being Miami persay while he's there, he isn't a lock.

I think the work Dooley put in trumps the short time Golden has had to recruit him, although if both teams could start over; he would be all Miami imo

Jackson is showing up in the run game and in pass protection. While others may have a more impressive body type, Jackson has shown the ability to move the feet quickly and in a reactive manner along with being physical at the point of attack. Jackson is set to announce his decision during the game Wednesday. Miami (Fla.) and Tennessee are thought to be the two major players.

Mom is key. She only met Golden once....she's met Dooley & co quite a few times. I think they committed to Dooley and wouldn't go back on it. We'll see.

While I really really want Marcus, he is far from make or break for this class like losing a DT or LB.

As long as Tiny still ends up committing and we bring in 4 OL's we will be fine.

That being said, Marcus has a chance to be an absolute monster and I really hope that we are able to pull him on Wednesday.

I know for a fact Jackson committed to Dooley & staff on his 2nd visit, the thing is Golden got in his living room & talked him into coming down for another visit to Miami. Jacksons mom loves what Dooley is selling to her soon (the academic side of things & the VFL program).

The first commit Golden went to after he got the job was Jackson. That has to speak volumes for him and his family. It was the very next day if I remember correctly. However I expect him to be a Vol, I won't be surprised at all if he goes Miami.
