11 FL OL Marcus Jackson (UT commit)

I'm not freaking out, I still think Tennessee is the team to beat here. Why go to Miami & possibly redshirt after all the OL they have brought in when he can come to Tennessee & be in the 2 deep next season & be 1 injury away from taking someones job? He has already given a silent commitment to the staff. Dooley will close this one IMO.

SGM I could be wrong but I think Miami can only sign 13-14 players in this class. Miamicane could shed some light on that. Even then Golden would still have his work cut out for him to NSD.

Tuitt is visiting AU and GT.

Yep, I saw where he was visiting AU earlier today.

He has been to GT before has he not?? You think you guys have a good shot??

Any mention of interest in UT out of him??

I still have a hard time understanding how ND and AUB are holding onto their respective classes -- especially Auburn. I fully expect big time trouble to hit them after the N/C game.

Thanks.

He's been to GT eight times.

No interest in UT.

That is what I figured, and at this point in the recruiting season, I really don't think we would be able to find a spot for him unless we whiffed on several others.

I hope you can pull him from ND -- good luck.

This is a place where I disagree with Hubbs about Marcus.

The kid de-committed from Miami when the head coach was fired, and he visited UT and fell in love with the place. I am convinced that Marcus gave us a silent commitment when he came back with his parents.

Now, Miami has hired a new head coach -- what normal person would not want to meet the new head coach and get an idea of what his plans are?? Perfectly normal and to be expected. While it is somewhat dangerous for us, Marcus does not seem to be the kind of kid that is going to bounce all over the place.

I believe Marcus really likes the idea of playing in the SEC in a huge stadium with rabid fans, and I doubt that he would leave that for a coach he never heard of and just met for the first time. He has yet to meet any of the offensive coordinators or assistants because they have not been hired yet and no one knows when they will be hired. At Tennessee, however, he knows he will be playing under Hiestand, a proven, stellar college and NFL O-line coach, and he understands that UT has turned the corner with a ton of young talent and is a team that is on the rise.

Personally, I think he is still solid to us and will sign with us on NSD.

Stoutland, the o-line coach, will be retained. We'll see. Golden has already been to his school and home.

Had this waiting for him at the hotel......

Just did some Facebook stalking, and under his pic in the UT jersey he said "i did not commit to tenn". But he says nothing about his pic in the GT jersey.

All-Vol.
