This is a place where I disagree with Hubbs about Marcus.
The kid de-committed from Miami when the head coach was fired, and he visited UT and fell in love with the place. I am convinced that Marcus gave us a silent commitment when he came back with his parents.
Now, Miami has hired a new head coach -- what normal person would not want to meet the new head coach and get an idea of what his plans are?? Perfectly normal and to be expected. While it is somewhat dangerous for us, Marcus does not seem to be the kind of kid that is going to bounce all over the place.
I believe Marcus really likes the idea of playing in the SEC in a huge stadium with rabid fans, and I doubt that he would leave that for a coach he never heard of and just met for the first time. He has yet to meet any of the offensive coordinators or assistants because they have not been hired yet and no one knows when they will be hired. At Tennessee, however, he knows he will be playing under Hiestand, a proven, stellar college and NFL O-line coach, and he understands that UT has turned the corner with a ton of young talent and is a team that is on the rise.
Personally, I think he is still solid to us and will sign with us on NSD.
