100 times better

Could Pruitt's math be just as bad as his English?
“Our football team is 100 times better than it was this time last year. "
I only believe what I can see and I can't see much improvement in this team if any, Jeremy you can say what you will, but that won’t make it right

You're not wrong... it's just coach speak that's been blown out of proportion.

Does anyone deny that we would be 3-1 with at least average QB play?
I'm not sure why fans are even debating about how good or bad JG is, to be honest, and how that translates to JP's efficacy as a head coach.

I think I'd be much more worried about the defense, since that's the peg Pruitt hangs his hat on, and where the team should've made the most progress.

After watching the games and listening to all these pressers, it turns out my initial reaction and opinion on the hire are still the same... my 1st thought listening to the guy was "Wow, this guy is going to get routinely out-schemed every Saturday.". I don't know how anyone interviewing the guy could've reached any other conclusion.

Probably doesn't help that he sounds like the Alabama version of Mr. Mackey from South Park...

Huh? Out-schemed? That doesn't make any sense. He's been one of the best DCs in the country and that's not even debatable. Also, not sure what film study you're doing but the defensive playcalling has been excellent. It's execution that's been the problem.

First game of year the Vowels get taken to the woodshed by Ga St. The team had about as much energy as a corpse and acted as if they would rather be playing video games, yet we’re 100x better............Sheesh, that’s some math there Jeremy, yes it is

Not sure if you're serious; he's been outfoxed by every OC he's faced so far. You can't give up 38 and 29 points to the likes of Ga. State and BYU, and also think the defense is doing its job... that's not a talent issue, because every player on UT's roster is infinitely better than his counterpart on the other team. A year and a half in, UT's players still look confused in every game.

What does that even mean?
That he’s missed wide open Receivers and turned the ball over in the Red Zone multiple times. He can’t even execute the simple Play Action and Screen plays because his feet are so slow and the ball is always out late. Not to mention the fact that he has a fastball as his only pitch. He just can’t make the simple touch pass because he just isn’t a gamer. It’s holding the whole team back so bad, but since McBride left I don’t see a better option.

I read this saying one time that said you cant truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of great violence. If you are not capable of great violence, you are not peaceful, you are harmless.
To leave points on the field you must ve capable of scoring those points. Our team isnt capable of scoring alot of points on a good team.

You're right, it isn't a talent issue. It's an execution issue. You can't count overtime points in your stats btw. Every team alternates from inside scoring distance already in OT. BYU was held to 10 points and within 17 seconds UT was in cover 3 which is a perfect defensive call when the opposing team has 80+ yards to go to score. They were in cover 3 for the entire series and then on the last play Taylor inexplicitly plays like he's in cover 2. And Warrior totally whiffs on his tackle to keep them out of FG range.

Also the offense is not helping the defense at all. The more they go 3 and out the more our D in on the field and you should know the talent level of our depth drops off rapidly.

Finally, the DL has been a huge hindrance to the secondary play. Without pass rush it puts way too much pressure on the secondary.

Every expert that knows anything about schemes and playcalling have stated that the playcalling has been good. Our opinions mean very little in that regard.

There's a great chance the Georgia St loss ends up looking even worse than it already does as the season goes on.

Since they beat us, Georgia St has lost both of the games they've played against FBS opponents, a 47 point drubbing at the hands of a mediocre MAC team and a 3 OT loss to a bad team from their own conference. Their other win was barely hanging on and beating Furman, a good FCS team.

What? That I’m worried about our Atlanta area recruiting grounds if Georgia completely takes over Neyland stadium?

Why is that weird. I’m genuinely concerned that Tennessee becomes such a joke in the Atlanta area we can’t recruit there again for a decade.
Posting a picture of red/black Neyland with UGA flag flying over it seems very disrespectful to me, even if it’s not your creation. I lived in Atlanta long enough that red/black makes me nauseous.
