If Hubbs thinks we will go after Bray next, I would assume there has been some contact.

I remember LWS saying that. And Hubbs doesn't just say random stuff without knowing what he's talking about. He's a little too careful in releasing information sometimes, so there is definitely something in the works with Bray...

Never said Kiffin talked to him. The coaches have called his home and his coach. They do not do that for nothing.

Grayson won the golden gun award against Bray at the Vegas elite 11. So why would you want bray over Grayson? He is taller and at the elite 11 camp. However I think if Grayson would have been on the national radar earlier he would have been at the elite 11 camp going on right now.

Did not even realize they competed against each other. Mainly because Bray was so insignificant until he said USC might offer him lol.

The only thing that Grayson has that Bray does not have is some speed and that does not matter in a Pro-Style Offense.

Athleticism does matter. It is not just the speed. Brains matter as well. Grayson has them. I do not know about Bray but he got Yo-Yo ed into committing to SDSU so he cannot be all the bright. IMO

Whoever said Bray isn't athletic? Yes he probably jumped the gun a bit in committing to SDSU but he really did have many offers at all. I don't think you can judge his intelligence
based on that. At the Elite 11 he has been dominant and that says alot considering all the other QB's that are there.

You cant really judge so definitively off of ONE performance....if thats how its done, we should take Bray cause he was invited to the Elite 11( Grayson wasnt), and Rivals has said after the elite 11, Bray may very well have the most pro-style potential of ANY QB there. I have a way to squash this easy...offer and get BOTH!!! :)

I like your thinking but Bray was a sub because he was close to Elite 11 that was Jones' spot. Jones hurt his ankle an canceled, fyi

1. His 40 time
2. His vertical

both event verified numbers at the Army camp...

again, I am not saying that a QB needs to be super-athletic, but don't try to tell me that this kid is a stellar athlete...LOL

I don't know if we will offer either of these guys, but I will guarantee you that Bray will get an offer before Grayson

Ahhhhh.....gotcha...I did not know that. Thanks for the info J. That little happening may end up helping our debacle of a QB search in the long run......if Bray is interested. he sure vaulted up the Rivals rankings of late.

When you are almost 6'7 you do not need a 34 inch vertical and again Pro-Style offense 40 time does not have to be that great.

of course you don't need a huge vertical...it just happens to be an excellent indicator of overall athleticism.

for the love of god, i am not saying his measurables mean he can't be a successful QB

I am merely arguing with the contention that he is a good athlete.

Once the kid adds about 30lbs or so of weight, it will help immensely with his running coordination and athleticism. he is a 17yr old stick right now.

I would like to officially start off the offer Grayson campaign 2009. There are going to be many debates on who should get an offer Mason, Bray, Baty, Newton etc.


There is only one of them that has dreamed of playing in Orange only one who is telling schools to hold off because he is waiting to see what Tennessee does. His name is Garrett Grayson. And after what we just experienced I think someone who is going to be 100 percent on board and is blessed with an athleticism and smarts second to none is the guy we need.

Yeah 30lbs. would be just about right. Then he would be about the same size of Joe Flacco from the Ravens. That is who this kid reminds of a little.
