'10 TX S Ahmad Dixon

How many people Janzen Jackson was innocent even though people was ready to cut his throat and bury him under Neyland? Thank God we didn't have a say because His life would be ruined and we would suck a safety. Is Myles going to stay a safety because I remember reading he maybe heading to LB?

actually Art Briles going to TT might not be that good if he wants to stay in state not sure how close the two are though.....Dixon is the guy I want if no Elam

I really hope we get Dixon. I dont see Elam picking UT. I dont think his Mom is very high on CLK. If he decommits from UF, I would almost guarantee he will be a 'Nole.

If Dixon comes to UT he can have the opportunity to beat out Myles Jr. and start from Day 1. Bama cant really offer the realistic chance for immediate PT can they? If he sticks with Baylor he will be costing himself MILLIONS of dollars in the NFL Draft.

Jason Smith disagrees with you

If the player is good enough it wont matter what D1 school he goes to he will be taken highly. It didn't matter to Philip Rivers that he went to NC State not Bama.

If Dixon can play Safety aswell as we hope it wont matter which school he is at, I hope we get him but if he doesn't come here it doesn't mean any chance of him going high in the draft is gone.

Completely different position. Find me the last defensive player that Baylor put into the 1st round of the Draft. UT is about to put a player at Dixon's EXACT position in the Top 3 of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Position doesn't matter that much. If you are good enough you will stand out regardless of team. Not that it matters, but Daryl Gardener was a 1st round pick in 1996. Mike Singletary was a 2nd round pick but a pretty good player too. The Big 12 is a big enough conference to push a player into the spotlight even if they play for a Baylor. I would love for Dixon to come to UT but playing at Baylor would not diminish his skills or draft status if he is really that good.

I believe our defense can showcase the skills of a great FS/SS a lot better than Baylors can. Thats just my opinion though. He will have much better talent around him at UT, thus making it much easier for him to be successful. I know a great player will usually stand out no matter what.....but not enough is said about a players development because of his coaches and talent surrounding said player. Those two things can have a huge impact on how a players career goes, and I dont know of anyone who couldn't say that UT blows Baylor away in both of those aspects.

If no one else believes it, I do.
Evans reminds me of Jonathan Wade before Wade's Sr yr,

the talent & speed is there, He has nice ball skills, he just has to trust himself, trust his wheels.

*edit
I dont think he has to bulk up. He just has to play more physical. he can do that without being 195 lbs

I remember Jabari Greer and (Rashad?) Baker looked shakey for us early in their careers but they settled down and grew into it.

Jonathan Wade was one of the fastest DBs ever to put on the O&W. Evans not so much.
If you had said Stephaun Raines I might agree with you

Fast doesn't equate to being good. I'd play Raines ahead of him. Plays too tentative.

Moore is the fastest. If not fastest he's 2nd fastest, but I doubt Evans is the fastest. He plays to make the tackle instead of the pick or pass break up. Let's hope he's tackling well in about 10 minutes.

cool but the guy above me brought up speed, and said Evans "not so much" ... which is completely false

Based on? I have a hard time believing that.

based on him running 10.3 100M and 21.7 200M....
