'10 TX S Ahmad Dixon

Hard to say since Baylor is done for the season.

Sorry, you're right. :hi:

I was thinking of Toney Hurd from Missouri City, TX who de-committed from ND after his Aggie visit & then visited T. Tech.

I need another cup of coffee. :p

A few notes (mostly from Scout)...

- Dixon doesn't know whether he will be able to qualify at Baylor so he may have to go elsewhere
- Alot of people believe he ends up in the SEC at either UT or Auburn
- he has already said that UT is his leader of the schools he isn't committed to
- Bryant feels we are setting in very good shape with him atm

This is good news, we need a top S in the class:good!:

Thanks LV:hi:

If we get Dixon does Myles give him a run at SS? If Myles wins out there does Dixon or Jackson play CB? We have a real need for a CB or two that can play right away if Rogan goes in the draft.

I would think that JJ would stay at the safty position I don't know about Myles though.

I could see Myles putting on 20 LBS and playing some OLB, he could be very useful to have an athletic linebacker particularly on 3rd downs

Who is he

Cody, I figured with 926 posts that you would remember Bryan Butler...Butler had a website where at one time, he was trying to charge $$ for information about several players that he was mentoring...He had BB and several other recruits in the Tulsa Oklahoma area...about this time one year ago...Go Big Orange!

Just what I was looking for. Thanks

This has slimeball written all over it

My favorite thing about that site: he asks you to pay for the exclusive information, but click on Bryce Brown's and David Oku's profiles, and Tennessee isn't even listed as a potential school for either of them.

who would we take if ahmad dixon ,elam ,dorsey ,wright ,shaw, an marques dixon wanted to come i no im dreaming here but with this staff anything is possible

Correct b/c both are very versatile. Elam can play saftey and OLB. Dixon can play Corner and safety. Dorsey and Wright are also the same way. I would take any of them at this point

We need all the secondary help we can get.

After having Edwards dismissed and now Rogan and Berry going pro this has become a huge area of need. We hadn't originally been going as hard for some of these guys because I think we anticipated only losing Berry this year...we need to close strong with these guys and land two at the least.

Has this been determined?

The DB's we have coming back next year aren't that good. Most play tentative and are willing to allow completions instead of battling for the ball. Content with making a tackle after the catch. Evans isn't aggressive enough, he plays off too far and isn't a good defender in my eyes. We need DB's that aren't afraid to mix it up. Jam them at the line and take them off their route. I don't recall that happening alot.I would have liked to see a JUCO or two like Menzie. We've got DB's but they will need a lot of work to be were they need to be.

Rod Wilks..... sshhhh

I heard Art Briles (sp) name mentioned for the TT opening, that would seem to really up us. We really need him in this class with all the other defensive players we have lost out on in this class. Go Vols!
