'10 SC DE Brandon Willis

The guy bailed on us at the worst time. Now he is in a bind so we are supposed to bend over backwards to help him out? Just doesnt seem right.

But this country was built on 2nd chances, so I would be cool with him coming to UT

Did he bail b/c of Kiffhole or am I confusing him with someone else?

He was 18 years old. Cut him some slack.

Some of you hold 18 years olds (Wilis) to higher standards than 33 year olds that balied (Kiffin).

He and his dad were in the car driving to UT when they heard Kiff was gone- never stopped- just turned and headed for UNC. Would love to get him. He could be a good ballplayer and would do good with VFL

So he would only have 2 years left to play and he has not taken a snap in a game in 2 years. You would have to compare him to a Juco. If a Juco is not a guy who could start or get serious reps from day 1....he's not a take. I think Willis is a pass at this point. Let him walk on if he wants to. If he shows out.....he can go on ship after proving himself. JMO

If we can get him here and he doesn't have to sit out this year, then im all for him being here! You cant hide the fact that the guy is still an elite talent, and would be a great addition to our D-Line.

The only thing he knew when he bailed on UT was that his head coach, coordinator, and position coach would all be people he didn't know.

If I'm not mistaken, he left UNC because his father ws offered a job on the west coast. I think his mother passed away recently (may be wrong about his mom)

I think rejoining with Corey would give him some direction. It just seems like he's a little lost. An old friend may be just what he needs.

People make mistakes. I would welcome him back in a heartbeat

Not sure why he left UCLA, but certainly you can understand the other circumstances for him reneging on his commitments.

De-committed from UT the first time b/c he was afraid of possible violations that centered around him and Corey, de-committed the 2nd time because lane left (and I"m willing to bet we would have had a few more de-commit had they not been obligated to stay. Remember, Willis wasn't on campus yet)..

And then is leaving UNC b/c of the Butch Davis firing and possible violations....

On top of this, he is a 19 year old kid with potential nfl talent. I would be more hesitant to have him on my team if his attitude was to just wait it out and hope for the best. At least he is actively trying to find the best environment for him.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember his grandmother being really sick back home in Carolina and that was the reason they moved back there.
