'10 SC DE Brandon Willis

Might be able to get an 'AA waiver because of the shenanigans at UNC. I'm basing that on absolutely nothing though.

Can he play immediately this season or will he still have to sit out the season?

Didn't he just transfer to UCLA this spring? I'm pretty sure he was going to have to sit out this fall on that transfer. I don't know if transferring BACK to UNC, if he would have been eligible to play there this fall, but I think anywhere he goes from there, he will indeed have to sit out this fall unless he can get some sort of waiver.

Do we really want this guy at this point? (sighing murr)

Sure. Think of him as a JuCo player with two years of eligibility that has practiced a whole lot but just hasn't played any.

He's already an upgrade to what we have committed...one DE.

The guy bailed on us at the worst time. Now he is in a bind so we are supposed to bend over backwards to help him out? Just doesnt seem right.

But this country was built on 2nd chances, so I would be cool with him coming to UT

He'd be a huge addition to our D. He and Corey would tear it up like they used to. Come to Knoxville and get ready for the NFL.

Pass on this one.

Committed twice but didn't sign. Transferred to UCLA. Transferred to UNC. Now wants to transfer again. The pattern isn't a good reflection on his commitment and fortitude.

so wait, was he at ucla or unc last fall? Did he play? and When did he transfer back to UNC? This past spring I take it?

Not sure why he left UCLA, but certainly you can understand the other circumstances for him reneging on his commitments.

De-committed from UT the first time b/c he was afraid of possible violations that centered around him and Corey, de-committed the 2nd time because lane left (and I"m willing to bet we would have had a few more de-commit had they not been obligated to stay. Remember, Willis wasn't on campus yet)..

And then is leaving UNC b/c of the Butch Davis firing and possible violations....

On top of this, he is a 19 year old kid with potential nfl talent. I would be more hesitant to have him on my team if his attitude was to just wait it out and hope for the best. At least he is actively trying to find the best environment for him.

with our lack of a DLine and yall being being Choosey? No sir not me!

who cares how many places he's been or wanted to go.

If BWillis wants to be a Vol, Cmon down son!

Some if you need to familiarize yourself with why he transferred back to UNC. Hes not a bad kid
