'10 SC DE Brandon Willis

Willis is big-time. These recruiting services dont know jack really.

I was very impressed with him at Tennessee's camp back in June. The guy has a great frame and is very athletically gifted for his size. He reminds me a lot of Shaun Ellis when he came out of Anderson, SC a decade ago. Both have similar builds and athleticism for their size.

Bryant on Scout rated Willis as the #1 defensive player at camp. JB also made a wishlist of 12 players he wanted to end the class with. Willis was also the #1 player on that list...

The lack of "love" on his thread is because there is no speculation about where he was going. The locks to us usually have smaller threads.

I can't wait til he gets here.

Willis and Miller are solid no need to worry.

Austin Price on VQ posted about Willis taking a visit to UCLA. Willis dad told Austin Price.

"My son will do a lot of things, but dont worry, one thing he doesnt do is go back on his word"

He is just taking visits just to go.

"It was my first time in L.A. and I had a great time there," said Willis. "My trip was great. It's really nice around UCLA, in a real nice area. UCLA is one of the best campuses I've seen."

Willis said several things stood out to him.

"What stood out most was the area," said Willis. "Westwood and Brentwood are really nice. The campus and the facilities were great and I liked the Rose Bowl."

"Coach Howard is the one recruiting me, so I talked mostly with him, but Coach Neuheisel and I spent a lot of time together too," said Willis.

"Brian Price is a great athlete and a very good defensive tackle," said Willis. "UCLA wants me for that same position."

But Willis said his commitment to the Vols remains the same.

"I'm still committed to Tennessee but I just want to see all of my options," said Willis. "I talked with Coach (Lane) Kiffin about it and he was cool with me taking my trips."

Everything positive he had to say about UCLA was regarding the area and not the football they play. That should be a clear indication that he was only going out to see L.A.

Willis told the cal site that while he is still solid on Tenn, he will take officials to Miami and Cal. We thought he was pretty solid on cal before so we were surpised he went with UT before his official. Should be interesting. I can't see him going to ucla btw.
