Somewhat yes. All a LOI does is guarantee financial aid to a specific university. Now, he may have already been released from it, so that would mean that he isn't bound by the year sit out rule. I'm not 100% sure on anything with this situation, but he may have to sit.
I would love to see this kid be able to play this fall. I am kind of worried that Palardy will be doing so much. I know he is a stud and if anyone can do it, he can but we need to protect that golden leg. Not to mention how this could help field position, especially for an offense that everyone believes will suffer. The better the field position, the better chances we have to put more points on the board, even if it is Palardy putting 3 on the board.
Darr was the number one ranked punter so I think your wrong, but I wouldn't mind having two amazing kickers on the team.
as CDD pointed out in an interview earlier this off-season and as should be common sense. It is very difficult for a player to do all 3 phases of the kicking and even 2 is hard. Kicking and punting are all about repetition and doing certain things the exact right way.. Focusing one one is often better then 2 or 3 simply because of the different mechanics involved. This is why teams very rarely have the same guy doing punts and kicks especially at the collegiate and NFL level. it happens a lot more often in High school simply for the fact that finding kickers at that level of any talent is harder.just because palardy was rated as a kicker. i dont think you realize how much of a freak palardy is. If im not mistaken, he would have easily been the number 1 punter had he been rated for that.
Hmm maybe he could make an appeal to try and get out of his LOI? I mean I would love to have him but we do also have Palardy coming in, he looks like he could handle on the kicking jobs.
We need a back up so if palqrdy gets injured, you do not want a kicker doin all 3 things at once. Darr can be redshirted
