It's going to stay active until NSD, I guess. I figured it'd be on the 2nd or 3rd page of this forum by now though.

I guess I'm not helping any... so this is my last post in this thread.

Committed to the Barn
top quarterback cameron newton, a 6-foot-6, 245-pound prospect from blinn cc, texas, has committed to the tigers. Newton, originally from westlake (atlanta, ga.), had narrowed his choices to auburn, mississippi state and oklahoma.

"as an athlete, my job is to make the best decision for me and just put it all out on the table," newton told espn affiliate web site auburnundercover.com. "i'm not in high school anymore. I'm a junior college kid that has two years to fulfill my dreams as a college football player."

the standout signed with florida in 2007. After a year in gainesville, newton transferred and led blinn to the junior college national championship in 2009 by rushing for 655 yards and 16 touchdowns. He completed 204-of-336 pass attempts (60.7-percent) for over 2800 yards with 22 scores.

Newton will have two years to play two at auburn, and will enroll in january in time to go through spring practice. He is expected to compete for the starting quarterback spot vacated by senior chris todd.

I know its already in his personal thread, but I figured no one really cared to look at his personal thread anymore.

Auburn is going to be tough next year. They will contend with bama in for the west for sure next year.

You ain't joking. Before Newton, I was looking at their recruiting. Those cats are right with us. If we talk about ourselves about a rising program, Auburn has to be right with us... or ahead of us.

FAiL FAIL FAIL for all eternity. Yes its in his thread and everyone on this site knows he wasn't coming to UT and it would be MSU or Auburn. Please for the love of God and the Big Orange, let's get off his nuts and talk about recruits that really want to be Vols.

He did want to be a Vol but we wouldn't offer him because he wanted to contend for the starting position. Simms just wanted on a college campus, like Lamaison so they can hold the clipboards next year as third and fourth on the depth chart.

kptvol, bama didn't destroy AU this year. Bama was losing the entire game and barely got the lead with about 2 minutes left, and bama is playing for the NC dude....

I hate to say this but AU is going to be the team to beat in the west next year. If they get Lattimore and a few other top recruits, they will be top 3 in recruiting. They are barely losing any starters this year. Bama should have lost to us, AU and Ole Miss this year. TX will beat them, mark my words.

Maybe we will play AU in the SECG next year and get redemption from them beating us in 04.
