It's hard to tell sometimes, but I was just being thankful.
You seem to have some good insight on such matters and I'd like to see Cam at UT. I think he'll make us forget about some of these other guys.
You must weren't watching the blowout loss to Florida two years ago. He is plenty mobile ask D.Rogan.

Personally, I think cameron is a silent. I think the news will leak out that he is a commit sometime after we get a HS QB committed to us.
I don't know that but he can get up and down the court pretty darn quickly. LeBron has a couple of inches on Cam, but he's the beast this kid reminds me of... for whatever reason. They're not normal people.
They are freaks... really.
I'd like to see him as a QB as well, but IF things aren't working out, and he knows he's not going to break the depth chart, you're saying neither him nor CLK would try to move him to a position where he COULD contribute? Same thing with CJ Leak...just that he wasn't experienced or talented enough at those other positions to break the depth chart there either.Agreed. I don't think he would even be considering us if we didn't want him to play QB.

Let's take Teague for example...the kid was a QB in HS, and yet will be playing as a slot WR or DB...cause he's an athlete. Same with Newton. If for some reason, he is looking at a 2nd or 3rd string QB spot...he's too much of an asset as an ATHLETE to leave on the bench.
Moving him to another position isn't an option. He's a QB, that's being recruited to come inand play QB. That'it, end of story. The way our QB situation is in shambles, he's a welcome improvement. He was a 5* QB in HS. He won't have a problem beating out Stephens and the baseball player, and any new Freshman we have coming in will have to sit back and learn the game.

Any "Dual-Threat" QB gives a coach options should they not work out at the QB position. If Crompton was such an athlete, he would have certainly been moved by now, but he's not athletic enough to do anything else...except punt maybe.
You don't know whether Newton will excel at the QB position or not. We just hope so. My point was that, in any case, with Newton, he's such a good athlete and rare size/speed combination that he COULD be just as valuable to the team as a WR IF Coach Kiffin wanted to play another QB on the roster, ahead of him.
Aaron Douglas is a good example to use...he WAS clearly a TE, a highly recruited one, and on course to be a good one for us. However, the staff thought felt his best potential was at OT. Noboby ever told him during his recruitment that he would be asked to move.
Regardless, your opinion carries no more weight than mine, and as such you're in no position to dictate when the discussion, or "The Story," ends.
