'10 IL WR Kyle Prater

A Benn could have gone anywhere and gotten that grade. Illinois hasnt offered some huge advantage going forward to the Pros. If he's at any other school his numbers would be off the charts, Id say Illinois hindered his growth more than it helped him

Benn would be a top 10 NFL pick if he had gone to a major pro style program. He will be a stud in the league. Illinois retarded his development.

Exactly what I was thinking. Some guys have the talent to go anywhere and get drafted fairly high, but when they go to the right school they get drafted in the early first round and are much more prepared for the league.

A. Benn made a HUGE mistake in picking Illinois. He has lost at LEAST 10 million in guaranteed NFL contract money by being mired in that pathetic excuse for an offense for 3 years. Can you imagine his stats if he had Sam Bradford or Colt McCoy throwing to him? Dude will be a beast in the League.

Sure wish Bray could get in this guy's ear. Him and Milton would be Twin Towers and hell on defenses. Then you add in a6' 6" Hybrid WR/TE in Delvin Jones....man Bray would never be wanting for targets to throw to.

I realize that every team claims all "other" teams pay their recruits, but it's well voiced that Zook does this with regularity.

So I was just curious if there was any expected wavering oh his USC commitment. Anyone have info on his current status?

he is solid USC ...

ESPNU 150 wide receiver Kyle Prater solidifies USC commitment

Four-star pass-catcher Kyle Prater (Hillside, Ill./Proviso West) is finished with the recruiting process following his official visit to USC.

He told ESPN affiliate Web site WeAreSC.com, "I'm going to USC."

The highly-coveted senior previously maintained a soft verbal to USC and was considering Notre Dame.

Thanks...Just a tad curious.

Rivals still had him as a soft verbal, so I thought I'd check into it.

Is he still a lock with USC? Cause I know Still is going elsewhere maybe with some others because Carroll told Prater he was only taking 3 wrs

Prater and Robert Woods is just what the doctor ordered for USC...they need these 2 bad...I'm suprised the WR have been pretty weak the last two years minus Damian Williams. It seems like their WRs haven't been as good since Lane left
