He's taking 2 officials, one to SC the other here. We get the last visit, and with that I like our chances. Who knows, he could just change his mind and cancel the USC official and come here.It will be a hard choice but I hope it's UT that he picks. Milton, Ambles, and Prater would be a deadly combination to add to what we already have now. QB situation isn't as bad as it seems. We have capable QB's that will get them the ball, plus we have a good chance with Newton to be here next Spring too.

Why is everyone on the newton train?? If lamison red shirts this year and then has 3 years to play that means the 2 years that newton would have lamison would be playing. Lamison is better then newton. We need to stop going for florida rejects.

Dude its not that funny. Laimson is a leader and it will show. Newton is a delequant(sp) he would be 3rd string at florida. He left for that reason amd the fact he had a stolen computer which he knew was hot. I'd rather get a project QB like bray or grayson then get a spread QB that is over rated. We will be on top of the '11 QB's and there is no need to waste a scholie on newton.

Article on ESPN today about Prater.

As the calendar has turned to August, Prater says he has scheduled one official visit and plans to soon schedule one or two others.

"I've got one Sept. 5 at USC," Prater said. "I'm trying to get the other ones set up. I'll definitely take one to Tennessee. I'm trying to get one set up to Oklahoma."

When asked who his favorite is, Prater said, "I really like USC right now. I like Illinois and Oklahoma too."

Prater plans to graduate early so he wants to select a college sooner rather than later.

"I'd like to have my college by the middle of the football season," Prater said.

That is the problem when team recruiting sites do interviews. They get answers to specific question to get their fans excited and continuing to read. I saw several of these after his visit to UT and they slanted evrything towards UT. This is why I don't put much fate into them even ours.

Florida's third stringers could have beatin' Tennessee last year. Crompton, Stephens and Lamaison would all be on Florida's practice squad if they even made it that far. Newton didn't leave Florida because of QB competition... Florida kicked him off the team. Obviously Newton do know he was going to get caught stealing the computer or he wouldn't have done it. Lastly, Tennessee still land Bray or Grayson even if they get Newton.

Also... Newton > Lamaison x10.

I think Newton is better than Lamaison but not by much at all. Dude is a leader and would probably be better fit. Saying that I still want newton just because of his upside but if we got him I wouldn't guarantee him the starting job.

I think he should have came during fall camp for his unofficial visit it would have helped out our chances tremendously!!

Our QB depth is weak even with Lamaison. There is absolutely no way he redshirts this year.

so how does prater compare to julio jones? physicaly 1" taller supposedly, and gives away 10 lbs , but other than that anyone got anything to say on the subject.
