'10 GA OLB Michael Taylor

I agree, but the answer will be because it is a board and it is fun to speculate and what if I am right. I wish we had one guy that sat in every in-home and talked to every recruit. And was with the coaches when they are meeting about players. That would be some nice inside info.

Why the heck would he want to go to Florida? They only want him now that he had a great UA game. This is so crazy. We wanted him when he didn't have as big a buzz. Also to the posters that don't think he's that good what are you looking at? He's fast and furious.

I really don't think the loyalty factor is as important to most of these kids as we wish it was.

Taylor isn't going anywhere.. You know how many recruits in this class have said "I absolutely loved the visit and will sit down and talk about Tennessee with my familiy?".. Well in case you forgot..

Jake Heaps
Deitrich Riley
Jeff Luc
Matt Elam
John Fulton
Demarco Cobbs
Chase Rettig

And many others...

I agree Lockdown.. We were the first major school to offer..

Maybe he's just enjoying the ride and will remain with Tennessee.. We do have Monte Kiffin.. Has to be a plus for us..

I think with Kiffin showing him how we'll use him in our scheme he will be a Vol. He fits our D more than whatever the Gators are putting out there.

You don't even know the scheme and you just assume he'll be a better fit at UT? Interesting.

I did not know the gators were even in the picture. I though he was just interested in ND and mainly committed to us?

Hey guys. I can't post my own thread so, since this discussion has led to Taylor considering FL thought I would post it here.

Is anyone an ESPN insider? I saw on the site that "Urban Meyer's wife gives clues to Urbans future...."

Didn't know if anyone had read that and could give us info on that? obviously URban's future could effect Taylor and other recruits if he doesn't come back.

not an ESPN insider but that article is likely just a synopsis of ESPN affiliate Gator Country's article from yesterday after interviewing Shelly Meyer.

Here's the first part.
Florida Gators Country Football Urban’s partner

the second part of the interview is supposed to come out today.

TOMORROW, PART II: Shelley Meyer can’t believe some of the rumors and outright lies that are circulating about Urban Meyer --- everything from his health to his personal life to fabrications about why he decided to return to Florida after resigning. In part two, she sets the record straight and debunks many of the myths that are making their way around the message board circuit.

Of course spouses never lie to protect their better halves. Not saying he did have an affair, just saying that his wife denying it doesn't mean he didn't.

What a Gator homer of an article.

I lol'ed at this tidbit:

In Meyer’s plan to win, winning football games is a by-product of his far greater plan to take young men and turn them into responsible, accountable, caring citizens. Win their hearts and minds, put them on the right path to get an education and live a productive life and winning takes care of itself. That has and always will be the Meyer plan

i just threw up in my mouth a little bit. i gotta stop reading these gator infested threads.

UF saw him in the UA game and got on board so they could try and stick it to us. Of all the LB's from last year with Bostic etc, and this years crop too, it may be a hard sell for the Gators.

2011 defensive back Ronnie Harris, a teammate of Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake linebacker Michael Taylor said that Taylor wants to decommitt from Tennessee, and commit to Florida, but he is unsure whether or not he has a committable offer from the Gators.

According to Harris, Taylor believes he will be getting a committable UF offer soon.

I have tried both Taylor and coach Minnis from Westlake, but haven't had any luck with either so far.

4:20 p.m. Update: Actually I did get coach Minnis. Taylor is a little on the quiet side right now. Taylor actually has a committable offer from Florida right now.

- another Scout update...
