Kiffen has stated in several interviews that he doesn't recruit "stars" he recruits the best althletes that fit the system and current needs. If that happens to coincide with a #1 class then I'm sure he'd be happy to have it, I bet he'd would be happy with a top 5 and in the future a consistent top 10. Fulmer went after the left-over "stars" whether they fit the system or not and look where that got us.

I believe the losing touch with the staff was in reference to Texas. He said Texas was always his dream school and was in contact with them early in the process then lost touch until recently. That's the impression I get from reading this, it wasn't our staff.

Not much yet. There's a guy on VQ claiming to have talked to him and Dunkley supposedly said he was "all vol". TIFWIW

Dude is a true freshman. Returning punts IMO is a very difficult task when you got the other team barelling down no just you. Its like Rogan pre-maturely calling a fair catch last night and then looked around and there was no one NEAR him. You could tell he wished he wouldnt have done that. When Nuke gets more comfortable then LOOK OUT! Tennessee will finally have someone back there that can take it to the house. Dude's got amazing speed and moves! GO VOLS BEAT MEMPHIS! :rock:

I have a feeling if something comes out of this Nuke rumor it will greatly hurt our chances with Chris Dunkley.

See the thread in the main forum. Nuke wasn't at practice today and Kiffin said he will address it Tuesday. A lot of people are saying he is homesick and unhappy with his season so far.

Nuke has been unhappy for months now. He just has to live with it. He will end up staying. I would be very surprised if he left.

I hope you are right. Nuke seems like a good guy just going through a rough time. I remember leaving at 18 to join the Marines. I was so homesick for months. It is a lot tougher than people think. Also Kiffin has way too much invested in Nuke.

I guess this could have a good affect on Dunkley if Dunkley feels he could help Nuke cope by coming to UT. Doubt it but trying to be positive.

Pete needs to Tighten the Eff up. Cool your homesick but if he's upset at PT he better be mad at himself.
If he cant start or get significant Burn at WR for the Vols what other school was he gonna see significant PT?
when he's been in the game he has not been spectacular, a few nice Kick returns and some Horrible Punt returns and whiffs.
With that said, he's just a Freshman and maybe he had been reading this board and thinking he was gonna come in and be a Percy Harvin type like a Lot of the Vol nation Nutzsos thought ...
