'10 FL OT Chaz Green

Does getting James hurt us with Green? We already have douglas at one of the tackles next year so they would be fighting each other for the same spot and they both want early PT?

I don't think he would be handed a tackle spot at UF either. So, he may just have to wait a year...

I dont think so. It would be a lot less competitive (from a talent standpoint) to earn playing time early on at Tennessee as compared to Florida.

Anything new on this guy? Can't remember where it was but I read somewhere that he had dropped us???

Some one made a post about him dropping us and post a Scout link that didn't show us even in the running. Scout hasn't updated his page to show anything new that is about it.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I thought I read that his parents attended Tennessee. Is this correct? If so do you think they would push him this way?

Yes, his parents are graduates of UT. I think they will end up getting him to choose UT.

That has to be a positive. I know they want the best for their kid but would be hard being a parent and watching him play for hated Gators.

Thanks for the info.

I think we get Green and Cullen just because of the opportunity to play early and the excitment around the program .

Yep, in much the same way Simms had an offer and is going to commit to us real soon.

P.S. I Still think we get Green, but that's really no surprise to anyone.

Well not in that way because he will be a vol. I was wrong about Simms. Everyone I talked to said he was getting the offer right away to give Stephens competition, but thats most likely not going to happen.

i have said from the begining that we should sign 5 or 6 of the best offensive linemen even if they were all tackles cause a few could move and play guard .an o linemen should be interchangable at any position on the line incase of injury.we have two walk ons starting on the line and they have played ok except cody from bama just pushed sullins into the backfield and blocked two field goal attempts, they are athletic but being 6,2 265 that is to small to open up holes for the running game and thats why chrompton has had to roll out so much,if we get 4 or 5 good linemen this year and the o linemen from last year pan out and become contributors, our line may improve next year

I agree, the Sullins' boys give it their all...just too undersized.

They're rolling Crompton out because he's better throwing on the run, the offense is supposed to be set around a lot of PA, and he can't read an entire field. When he rolls out, he's effectively cutting the field in half. This means that he's really only reading two receivers and maybe a back.

Thank you for sharing about your motorcycle wreck. The people who mocked you had to feel bad afterwards. I enjoy your posts on here and I am glad you are not letting your accident keep you from participating as a huge Vols fan.

after vol freak made that announcement, I really feel the love on volnation.

Kid is all Vol and will announce pretty soon. He will be visiting Florida this weekend, but unless something wild happens he will be a Vol in a few weeks. I don't know what happened on his OV but the kid went from liking Florida to hating us. I will give Lane tons of credit, he knows what to say to negative recruit against Florida. We dodged a HUGE bullet with Nuke but I think Chaz will be a good one for you guys.

unsure how credible this guy is but it was pasted on this site:

According to our Mods and a poster who is close to their high school team both have made their college decisions. Both will be visiting UF this weekend(Chaz OV,Christian UV) but unless we completely blow them away(no nukeese) its over.

Christian is a bulldawg and our mods feel he will announce soon for them and Chaz is a Vol.

Apparently with the combo of both chaz's parents being vol alumni and kiffin promising him PT as a freshman he has decided to go to UT. Also his parents said the UT coaches told him that our OL scheme isnt good healthwise for Olineman or something so all those factors got him looking more toward UT and his UT visit was amazing in his eyes so that sealed the deal.

Both Urban and Billy G watched christian play live recently and there have been some doubts about his ability to play WR at the next level(he is a QB in high school) over other high school kids on our board who have been playing the position for 3-4 yrs atleast(kenny stills) and this caused stills and green to flip flop on our board. We still want green but apparently he is sold on UGA. The bright side i guess is that he isnt going to FSU idk

Chaz and Christian Green Have Apparently Made Their Decisions

maybe he's just a better salesman than UM. The good ones don't need to negative sell

Chaz Green told one of the Gator mods that he feels Florida's offensive system will lead to a career ending injury more easily than UT's. I don't know where that came from. I guess it has to do with Matt Patchan always getting injured and Tennessee used that against us but whatever it is it's a crock of crap.

again you are making huge assumptions about our coach based on a lot of hearsay. You lost him so it must be because CLK lied to him? That's a bunch of crap
