'10 FL OT Chaz Green

Little by little, it will (and is) hurting UF with recruits. These guys wanna get to the league and be successful. You don't do that at UF...

Have you seen our recruiting? We recruit at the highest level of college football. If there is one thing I am not worried about when it comes to the UF football program, it is recruiting.

hows it looking for us on the Green front? I looked through 2 pages of posts and left still wondering. Is georgia really his new leader??

It's confusing because people are using only last names - from what I can tell, Chaz Green is nearly all Vol. Christian Green (Athlete, FL) is the one who is apparently leaning to UGA now.

I think. . .

We may have seen a glimpse of the future in the MSU game when, about 10 yards out, Tebow lined up under center and the RB's were in the I formation. They scored, easily.

Thank you thats exactly what i was looking for. that is kinda confusing, but great news Chaz is the Green I want Tenn. to get.

You just yourself said it hurt you with Chaz. Make up your mind. I'm not talking about defensive recruits. UF is top of the line on the defensive side of the ball...

They had to do that. Mullen knew everything they were doing with the spread. That's why Tebow threw 2 pick-6s and was getting stopped consistently on 3rd down which never happens to him. Meyer knows nothing but the spread...

Right, but I think hes eluding to the fact they are saying they are going Pro style once Tebow leaves. Most people seem to think this is the case and if so it will be the downfall of the Gators and only plays into Montes hands even more.

See, I don't buy this at all.

John Brantley = Alex Smith. I think Urban just has a different playbook he's going to whip out, using the same formations.

You are talking about an individual player. Outside of a stud like Harvin or Tebow, I don't care about individual players. I care about recruiting classes as a whole.

But if you want to look at offensive players then fine. We have an All-American type of TE, OT, and RB already committed. We already have 2 good WR's and we are right in the mix for a bunch of other ones like Dunkley, Green, McCartney, etc. Just last year we got the #1 WR in the country (Andre DeBose) and arguably the #1 OT in Xavier Nixon. We will continue to recruit elite offensive talent...we are Florida.

You will continue to recruit the state good because you are Florida. But you will see more and more kids who don't wanna play in a pee wee offense and will start looking around. They wanna get to the league...

I think they will play more of a Chris Leak type of game. Leak was a better passer than Tebow. However, without a Tebow player helping Leak in short yardage, they will be, good not great.

I think some of you guys are forgetting that Leak was the quarterback when we won it in '06. He was mobile as a telephone pole.

Hahaha - totally false.

Dude had pretty decent speed and made plays with his legs on occasion - maybe compared to Tebow or Newton - then yeah he was slow.

I don't even think you believe that. We will continue to get elite talent and both you and I know it. You try to sound tough on this board but I know that you don't believe the majority of the stuff that comes out of your mouth.

BTW..where is Chris Dunkley going? He is an elite offensive player...yes? :)

Vader got to disagree with you here. This statement is really absurd. We have the potential to have 3 first round picks this year in Dunlap, Haden, and Spikes. We had a first rounder last year in Harvin, the year before in Harvey, and the year before that 2 in Reggie Nelson and Jarvis Moss. We are not just putting kids into the league but into the 1st round. The only bust there is Moss but he was overrated to begin with. Also this has not hurt our recruiting at all we have always had a top class since Meyer has been here.

You can only get 20 some players a year out of Fl tops you guys keep taking the criminals and we'll take the football players

How many players on offense have been drafted other than Harvin have even been talked about going first round in the draft? Of course you have defensive players because you run a normal defense and not a gimic offense.

He was talking about offense. Sure theres Harvin, but he was making it anyways.

Arguably the greatest player in college history is getting questioned and may lose millions upon millions of dollars because of the offense system he played in.

The little scat backs aren't going to make it in the NFL when there is elite speed all over in much bigger packages.

Some receivers will make it, but theres still a pretty large change in formations and route trees, ..etc

Lineman are dramatically underdeveloped at some form of their blocking in 99% of spread offenses. Floridas passblocking isn't exactly the greatest, and their run blocking is slightly skewed by the offense.

Tight Ends have great receiving skills in the system, b ut again, their blocking is undeveloped most of the time.

Thats just a general for the spread though. Some are different, blah blah blah

Elite talent will continue to make it pro, but Floridas offensive system doesn't do them a whole lot of favors.

Louis Murphy is with the Raiders and he's doing pretty well.

Tebow will be on a team somewhere next year, granted maybe not at QB.

Riley Cooper will be playing pro ball. If not football than baseball.

The Pounceys would both be drafted if they left early.

I'm not sure about any more.
