I always try to say "I think" or "imo" or give credit to inside info that someone else said. I believe some people don't read it like that though. The only kinda inside info I had on Luc was about 4 days after his visit to UT, and it was just sent to me. It wasn't like I was connected on that...

No need to apologize for passing on info. It just sucks that the info was incorrect on Luc.

If anybody wants to know why Alabama/Florida is playing in the SEC championship opposed to Tennessee go to Rivals.com and take a look at their 2008 recruiting classes compared to Tennessee. It just goes to show you that recruiting is everything. If you do not have the players, chances are you will not compete in the SEC. Losing Jeff Luc hurts but one player will not break this class. With our coaches, if we can recruit in the top 10 year in and year out we will be fine. It is just so hard to beat Florida and Alabama right now. They are on top and will be for years to come I am affraid. Well at least Luc did not go to an SEC school. Regardless, I am still a Vol Fan for life. The way I see it, If a player does not want to be here then let him go elsewhere. I want players who want to be Volunteers! Go Vols!

Luc committed to FSU when his teammates did. He just wanted to wait and make it public to give his teammate the spotlight.

Lmao, you guys crack me up. It's 1 kid that has Chris Donald 2.0 written all over him imo. He's a highlight reel/youtube sensation. He may turn out to be a great one, but even so he's just one kid. I heard he had committed to FSU and signed on to see all the meltdown... it's all I hoped for and then some. I'm going to get blasted for this and questioned about being a vol fan, but I just think it's hilarious how upset some of you get over this. We'll be fine guys, the sky is not falling.

Never said the sky was falling!! this is the way i see it Demon, you work hard on a puzzle and when u get done ur missing a few pieces so its not complete!! not saying Luc is the perfect match but he could be a piece that is missing............

If there is some "good" news in all this the Gators didn't get Luc either plus their getting the snot beat out of them in the SEC championship game.:dance2:

I may be wrong and will admit if and when I am, but Luc, like many have mentioned reminds me a whole lot like Chris Donald. Some of the more X' and O' individuals on the board did a good explanation of why Luc would not fit well with our defensive scheme.

I am a true believer that you cannot force the issue. You have a talented player like Luc but you need a player to fit Monte's scheme and I really do not see him working well in his scheme. I think he will do fine at Florida State and I wish him the best of luck. I really want Tennessee to get the players that work well for our team. Look at Bruce Pearl for example... he did really well when he had lower-tier players from Buzz's old team but when he recruited Blue-chippers his style of play diminished because his players do not fit the mold of what he wanted.

I am more concerned with the turnover of our coaches and how it will affect our team in the long run. We have had so many coaches come and go in the last 5 years.

This sucks! And it has Gran all over it.

This gives Luc and his family what they wanted... stay in Florida and be with Gran. They loved him.

Yea, Jeff Luc is the least of our worries. FSU won't be doing anything anytime soon no matter what kind of talent they have. The ACC is a joke...

I don't like the look of this SEC Championship game. Bama is going to roll to the National Title and they haven't even got to their big time recruits yet. Next year, their Sophmores, Juniors, and Seniors will all be a part of 3 straight #1 recruiting classes. I don't like the way Saban has things shaping up in Tuscaloosa...

Im sorry. No one can write this one off. I have a feeling, if Gran does accept the FSU job, this years recruiting class will end up struggling to crack the top-10. I thought Luc was definitely going to be a Vol.

This bites bigtime.

Why do you think Kiffin admires him so much. He is doing right, the way Kiffin wants to do it.

In a few years, watching UT vs Bama is going to be special. Won't always go our way, but it will be awesome football.

Commits to a program that doesn't even have its staff full and is a total rebuilding project for the next 5 years at least...Hope he spends the money well.

A lot of us sitting here with egg on their face, myself included. At least he didn't go to Florida.

Anyone else think Eddie Gran called up Luc and said "I'm going to FSU, follow me there."
