I talked to a kid in FLA that i have known forever this morning who is friends with Jeff from coral gables camp etc. Not best friends, but they talk. All he said was " Jeff is really feeling TN, but likes FLA more". So i just told the board that i thought Luc to tennessee was possible if strong left.

Bingo. I dont question NYC hearing something but its funny how it gets twisted from one person to the next and ends up we are getting him. One thing I have learned from following recruiting for so long is never trust a rumor and never get excited until the pay sites are working on an article about a commitment.

I personally still dont buy into the after game meeting, just doesnt sound like anything I have ever heard and you would think more people than the 2 on the other site no matter how credible, would have seen it with 100k in attendance. You know for a fact if it were in Knoxville and Urban went and was talking to a recruit after the game there would be 100 people up in arms screaming some kind of violation on our boards. I havent seen the first mention of it anywhere on Floridas boards.

I don't think it's so much Strong as it is being highly successful and having other teams hire away multiple assistants. Mullen's already gone. Strong would hurt for them for sure. Look at what USC is going through.

where would charlie strong even coach? surely if strong wants to become a head coach hes not gonna flat out tell luc that hes staying. that kind of lie could be disastrous for the florida recruiting efforts

Strong has interviewed the last couple of years but finished 2nd. He'll get one this year, he has made no secret he wants to be an HC

The critical issue is timing here. Luc will make his decision in the next couple of months as he will be starting college in Jan. Will Strong make his decision to leave in that short period of time? Maybe not but stranger things have happened!

Its not a matter of if he leaves, its when. He can only interview badly for so long and if they win it all again this season someone will take a shot. Luc will not know until after signing his LOI and in classes. The staff here has to make it clear hes gone soon if they think thats the barrier. Monte wont be here forever but you can bet hes here longer than Strong is at Florida.

Can someone fill me in on whats going on with Luc. Tried to read back but only got Charlie Strong conversation. I guess it was rumored he was high on UT, then rumored high on UF. What do we know.

If a big part of Luc's decision is the defensive coordinator at the school, I think that gives us a DECIDED advantage. If the UF defense has another great year, Strong is as good as gone to be a HC (it is a travesty he isnt already a HC somewhere), unless the unthinkable happens after Weis is canned at ND after this year, and UM pulls a Saban and bolts for ND. Without a doubt, Monte Kiffin will be here as long as CLK is HC.....that i without questions and should be used as a huge selling point to these defensive recruits.

Its his relationship with the DC, not how good he is. What most of these recruits dont understand and will never know is that Floridas defense was primarily designed and or tweaked by Monte.
