He isn't a silent to FSU, they are a heavy lean though.

He'd be able to play at UF, and I don't seem to understand why everybody thinks otherwise. Both of our MLBackers will be leaving after the season leaving a wide open spot for him to fill.

I do agree he goes to FSU though.

Well it's going to be pretty hard for our back up middle backers to graduate given that Beal is a redshirt freshman and Bostic is a true freshman. Bostic apparently has absolutely torn up practice and Meyer even said he was the best Linebacker out there some days including Spikes. If Luc were to come to UF, he would most likely not start right away as Bostic would start in the middle with Jelani on the weakside and Lo Ed playing strongside. However, Luc would probably be the fourth backer and would see some playing time but not as much as he would at other schools.

Thanks for the honesty.

At RB, Bernard or Dyer will not be THE MAN at UT, they will be a real tough runner who we are happy to have in the stable. In all likelihood Bryce Brown will be THE MAN next year with Hardesty gone.

Jeff Luc under Monte Kiffin would be THE MAN by the start of his sophomore year in our defense at the LB spot. He would have lots of pub and he would enjoy that I think.

He seems unlikely, but he sure would be exciting to watch play in our defense.

That's incorrect. Bostic is being prepared to play all LB positions, so if Luc did commit Bostic would move over and Luc would play Mike. If Luc committed, worked hard, and was as good as advertised he'd play. It'd be Luc, Bostic, and Jenkins.

With Rico graduating, it might be hard for our veteran LBs to keep Luc of the field as a true freshmen. I mean, Thompson, Reveiz, King, and Frazier are solid, but Luc is on a different level than those guys. We would make a spot for him imo...

I'd say Reveiz would continue to start but gradually be replaced by Luc. Maybe not though. Tough to tell with this staff.

Monte just put brooks into a great scheme and helped teach him ya cant say Monte made brooks. people in the nfl have already made themselves.Did Phil Jackson make Jordan? Did Tom Moore make Peyton Manning? yes Monte can turn Luc into a great player like brooks but Brooks was good at FSU and made it to the NFL then got with Monte. Anyway just had to say that!!bye the way i hope we land Luc!

It really doesn't matter what any coach has done to help polish players in the NFL. Players develop in college and than are polished in the NFL by coaches like Monte. There is also a big difference between an 18 yo and 22 yo regarding maturity. Polishing a NFL player who just got drafted that has a desire to get better because they know they need to and a teenager who thinks his game is the top because how many stars he has by a recruting service is a lot different.

I am not saying Monte can't do it, but a big difference between the NFL and College.

Jeff Luc needs to be a VOL. Period. He would be the man in this defense. Top off my wish list.

It will be very difficult for us to land a no 1 class this year. With all of the D and O linemen needs it just doesn't make out for a sexy class. 3-5 at best. 2011? Skies the limit

That arguement won't fly, sport. Bama loaded up on both lines of scrimmage for 2 straight years and finished number one each time!

I agree...if we can end up with a top 5 class, we should consider that extremely successful

Heck, I would be excited with a top ten class. Hopefully we can inch into the 5 slot though.
