The coaching staff could be on their way out shortly and the school could be on their way to probation. That's one thing that doesn't make it a good fit if you want stability with the coaching and want to win ball games. He can get to the NFL wherever he goes. I don't know if FSU is the best fit if you want to win though.

Alabama IS on probation but it isn't hurting their recruiting one bit.

How is that different? Both schools are possibly one screw-up away from major penalties. The FSU staff didn't cause their players to cheat in an online class...

They also didn't do anything to prevent it or keep track of what was going on. And the difference is, Bowden might be forced out or even retire/resign. I would think Luc or any other player would like to know who he is going to play for and would like some stability. When kids come to Bama today, they know who they are playing for. Same can't be said for committing to Bowden. They could be playing for anyone in the next couple years.

But do you really think Bowden is going to be forced out? Really? I would bet every dime I have that he won't get forced out. Maybe resign, but I just don't think so. I don't get that feeling.

I also don't know if I buy that Luc is a lock to be in the NFL no matter where he goes. There have been too many absolute lock recruits that don't end up panning out. I wouldn't put my money on that because he has too much ability, but still....

All that said, I am betting he ends up at Florida.

I agree. Not to mention FSU is constantly getting in trouble, and are still riding off the wave of success they had in the 90s and early 2000s. They have always recruited well and have had good talent, but its clear they can't develop, and kids that think they're going to FSU to compete for a national championship are idiots. They will be lucky if they compete for the ACC title.

That is why I don't really hold it against a guy if he goes to a place like USC, UF, Bama, etc. The teams have proven they can win and develop talent, and have a stable coaching staff.

If Jimbo Fisher is not the head coach by 2010 he is to be paid 5 million. Head coach in waiting deal. So somebodys getting forced out! My guess would be Bowden!

Actually i believe Jimbo Fisher is the coach in waiting.... so im pretty sure they know who their playing for

FSU has put itself in quite a pickle if this is true. I don't think Bowden wants to retire because he wants to win more games than Paterno to hold the all-time wins record. But I guess since FSU had to vacate the wins when they used players involved in that cheating scandal, he may not have that chance anymore.

Here is an article about Jeff-"4:34 - A Ft. Pierce Central wide receiver attempts to make a catch on a crossing route and you can see the panic as he tries to get away but Luc is right behind him. This one is the most vicious and amazing. With a player accelerating away from him, Luc generates enough force from behind to flip the kid’s feet off the ground and above his head. Luc, with firm grip on the wide receiver, delivers him to the ground head first. Needless to say, the pass is incomplete and the player does not get up. “What responsible parent would let their child play against Treasure Coast with this man-child lurking around on defense?” Just think if Monte had an opportunity to coach this player. Wait till he visits a VOLs game! Kid's pretty smart checking out all of the teams. I wouldn't give up on him.

Maybe He needs to see that big T and lots of orange around him to help him make up his mind?...You know, Kind of show him who wants him the most....Maybe just maybe some of us south florida UT folks should dress up in orange and go to a couple of his high school games and let him know without actually talking to him who would appreciate his services more....Port St Lucie is not that far away.
