If we get the same effort out of this Defensive group... Overall Savion Frazier better than Nick Reviez but there is no way he could lead this D like Nick did. So really to me its up to the linebacking core.

I know we have a few problem areas where some new faces will have to step up but i think we should be fine come game time.

Difference is, the WRs at Auburn are better than UFs
and McCalebb/fannin/tate are more conventional Rbs than Demps/Rainey

This.

They are totally different than Florida and one huge factor. Monte watched every game of Floridas from the last 2 seasons to figure them out. He has 4 games to work on Auburn and a banged up defense to do it.

We are terrible in pass coverage so pressure is going to have to be fast and we need to move the ball on offense well, not just move it but control the clock and keep them from getting any rhythm on offense at all. Look what happened to UCLA, had we pounded the ball more they would have gassed early.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that CMK has watched all of Tulsa's film also. The man is a monster.

:blink: Wait. What? Terrible in pass coverage? Of the teams who have played 4 games, we have the 7th best pass defense in the country and the 3rd best pass defense in the SEC...

Vader say we have the 7th best pass coverage in the NCAA and the 3rd best in the league so where is all this talk coming about terrible pass coverage?

Our pass coverage was indeed terrible against Ohio - anyone that saw that game knows that - even Berry got beat on a long pass (although he was defending a TE I believe).

The first two offenses - well UCLA has as much trouble on offense as us - and UF has no receivers, at all.

This is turning into a mega thread! People need to try to start organized cheers for the recruits if you are in or near their section of the stadium

Booting Morley certainly hurt from an athletic talent standpoint. No reason that Morley and Vinson should not both have gone to the NFL as high picks physically, it is more about what is between their ears.

Say all you want about the "rankings" but we played Florida who has no passing game. WKU = lol. UCLA was a good stand but Ohio lit them up. 319 yards to OHIO is not a good pass defense, period.

So your "rankings" are clouded to say the least. Vinson couldnt cover his own shadow right now and Evans looks lost all over the field. Rogan being back will help but right now we are horrible at CB and to think anything else is homervision.
