Some good info in this WW vid AMP: Weekly Whispers - Rivals.com VideoLuc will visit FSU unofficially this weekend. They are out of it so he's probably going just to have fun. His team won again last night with Urban in attendance. And like I predicted, he will announce in a few weeks so look out in early to mid December. It does not seem that he's a lock to EE but he I heard that as long as his online course goes OK he will EE. Here's a link about their last game.

Jeff Luc's brother talks recruiting
Alex Luc, brother of five-star Under Armour All-American inside linebacker Jeff Luc (Port St. Lucie, Fla./Treasure Coast) spoke with ESPN affiliate Web site NoleInsider.com about schools in the mix for Jeff.
"We have visited Tennessee, USC, and we just came back from Georgia. He really enjoyed all of them. He just visited Florida. This upcoming weekend he will be going to visit Florida State."
"He pretty much has enjoyed all the schools he has visited," Luc added. "There are some other schools that are still in it. LSU and I think Alabama are still in it."
"He is looking forward to enrolling early. He has some things to finish up. He has this online class that he needs to finish. That is the only obstacle in front of him right now."
Alex also said positional coach and defensive scheme will play a factor, "Yes, it definitely does. He has learned that you can be talented, but if the coaching isn't putting you in the right position then you won't do any good. He knows that you have to know and trust the system."
This has to have you excited. Luc is a good fit in Monte's scheme IMO. I didn't used to think so, but after watching him in coverage on some videos this week, he can definitely get it done. I think he is a better fit than Nick Reveiz and that dude was doing everything we asked him to do. He still is stiff and not overly-explosive which could hurt him if he was asked to cover a really quick slot guy or a smaller back coming out of the backfield, but he will be enough to get it done.Alex also said positional coach and defensive scheme will play a factor, "Yes, it definitely does. Sab,
A two-parter:
1. Did you happen to notice how fluid this guy was in the hips / groin / high upper thigh region when evaluating his film? I know that's an important characteristic that you look for when evaluating guys on film, so just wondering how Luc stacks up.
2. Would you say that you really, really like this guy - or would you go so far as to say that you love him. I trust your heart on this one, big guy, but just wanted to know where it fell.
Thanks in advance, and I noticed the article you wrote this week - definitely at or near the sloping curve of your previous work, so good job.(?)
Hell yea rip the guy that watches recruiting film and then reports back to us.. Awesome. Lets kick dogs next.
Dude, you claimed that Monte called him on his USC visit, not on a visit to Bama...
Sabo, LV....those of you who spend time watching film, reading every scouting report, etc:
I have nothing other than a hunch to base this on, but from all I've read, Luc reminds me of a Hardy Nickerson type LB in Monte's D, due to his physical prowess & football intelligence--and possible less than prototypical coverage skills.
Agree? Disagree?

To me, Luc's speed, or lack thereof, is the biggest thing he needs to work on. Having stiff himps, and Luc isn't the worst, doesn't hurt you too much at the MLB position. Those guys are not typically asked to do things that they aren't good at such as chasing down a speed back or covering a shifty Y-slot receiver.Sab,

What the hell are you talking about here? I like Luc as a prospect, but there are several guys that I like better than Luc. To me Luc is a risk guy. If he lives up to his potential, he will be a good, solid player for us. If he doesn't, he will be buried on the depth chart behind 5 star players that live up to theirs.
I don't really, really like Jeff Luc, but I do love the way he cuddles.
