His top 5, in order, are Georgia, Florida, Notre Dame, Florida State, and Tennessee. He will take an official visit here.

his thoughts on UT...
To play for the guy (Monte Kiffin) who basically invented one of the best defensive schemes ever, the Tampa 2, is a real big factor for me. You always look to your college coaches to help you understand the game and he has coached at the highest level and he can teach you a lot before you go to the next level. I see a lot of opportunity at Tennessee. The fan base at Tennessee is one of a kind.

He also mentions in the article that FSU and UT are at the bottom of the list because he has not had the chance to visit them yet. We are in his top 5

He is taking an official visit to UT!

For some reason I don't feel good about getting this kid. Don't know how much of a chance we have.

Would be nice to get another Riggs. His brother only had 1 good year, but it was worth it.

More secondary help on way for Dogs? | AJC College Sports Recruiting

Georgia landed some secondary help over the weekend. Another high-profile player could be on the way.

Cornerback Cody Riggs of national powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale told Gridironstuds.com that the Bulldogs are leading on his list of schools to consider. Rivals ranks him No. 3 in the nation at his position; Scout ranks him No. 7.

"Florida is one, Georgia two, Notre Dame three, FSU four and Tennessee five," the Sunshine State native listed in order. "I'm going to take official visits to each place and then make my decision. I could make an early verbal commitment, but I doubt it. I'm going to Florida State when they host Miami on September 7. I'm going to Tennessee when they play UCLA on September 12th. I'm going to Florida when they host Tennessee on September 19th. I'm going to the LSU at Georgia game on October 3rd and then I'm going to Notre Dame when they face USC on October 17th."

Tennessee - "I like (defensive line) coach (Ed) Orgeron and (defensive coordinator) coach Monte Kiffin. They write me every day. I haven't been there yet so I don't really know the coaches very well."

Considering that UT is the only team in his top 5 that he hasn't visited, I think we are doing fine...

Florida still leads, had this to say on Tennessee:

Monte Kiffin, everyone knows that he is a defensive genius. It would be great to play for him. My brother went there and he tells me it would be a great place to be for my 3-5 years there.

Sounds like Florida leads alot. Anyone know why Gerald is not getting us his brother?

Seems like if Eric Berry ends the season in the top 3 for the Heisman we should be able to get Riggs, or Milliner or any number of other studs. Riggs and Joyner together would be nice, though Joyner is favoring FSU he will NOT be at UF so if they are going to play together UT may be the only shot.
