'10 FL CB Cody Riggs

Don't count out FSU with Joyner. Although it seems as if a number of prospects who were once leaning towards FSU are wavering after they've witnessed the product FSU fields.

BTW, Riggs is a better cover corner than Joyner, in fact Joyner plays safety for STA. Joyner is a tad bit overrated imo. Riggs is the better player.

I would say he perked up after the beatdown Shoe U put on BYU

Free Shoes spanked the Mormons. Spanky spank

Probably their best win fro them since a bowl game

I'm so happy FSU won, hate the mid majors, play somebody! Riggs was my number one DB get, and I think we are really making a firm impression on him, Kiffin is going to have an inhome visit in Dec, thats when we will get him!

Has he named UT his favorite yet? ND, Georgia, Florida have all been at the top ... let this one ride out.

Florida has been his leader for some time. ND and UGA are in the same position we are -- trying to make up ground.

I remember him saying that sometime in December Kiffin is suppose to sit down with his parents so that they can get to know him & he can just sell them on UT, that was right after his visit. All the comments he made after his visit sounded real positive for us, but thats usually how it is after a recruit visits a campus.

This will be a tough get for Kiffin & Co, unless this kid is just really good at covering up a sincere interest in a university.

A couple of other usually knowledgeable posters on this other site I go to say he switched his silent commit from the Gators to us after his visit.

Why is Riley not all Vol now? I've not heard anything to suggest otherwise...

My guess is the expressed interest in the UW win over USC and the undeniable change of heart as seen by him changing his Twitter background. (Gasp) Can't believe the nerve of this kid. :swoon3:

HAha, yep, cause Scroggins having UT as his background worked out GREAT for us, right?? :)

Yes, you are correct on UF being out in front. What I meant was at one point in time each team I listed has been named/hinted as his top team. My asking if he had named UT as his top team yet (or at all), was more of snide comment that he's changed his top team a few times now.

Hell, at one point, a long time ago, he had told the ND staff to "not worry about him" and that he had ND solidly out in front. That has obviously changed.

My point, things change. Especially with this kid.

Riggs is expected to end up at either Florida or Georgia. The Gators have the inside track on the ESPNU 150 prospect, but the Bulldogs have done an excellent job, as well.

When did this happen!!??

Here's that quote Vader Jr. was talking about in the Byrnes/Aquinas game thread.

"We're not worried about (Lattimore)," Riggs said. "No team has ever been able to run on us. As far as our defense, our biggest concern right now is stopping their receivers. People underestimate their receivers and what I see on film the receivers are the strong point of the offense."

Also, Gators still lead. IMO, if they still lead after his visit here then chances are he ends up there.

The Gators are still his No. 1 school and he's set an official visit for the Florida State weekend. Riggs was supposed to attend the Florida-Tennessee game but couldn't make it.

"Everything is still the same," Riggs said. "They're still my leader. Nothing has changed there."

Tennessee has emerged as a contender after he visited earlier this season and he has an official visit set for Georgia this weekend after the Byrnes contest. He will also visit Notre Dame the weekend of Oct. 16. A visit to Florida State, which would be his fifth official, could happen but he's not sure.

And he looks like he has good hips. He also has a brother who played for us which is nice.

Personally I would rather have a team of 5'11-6'0 CBs with even larger safeties. Janzen, Myles Jr. Riley, and CBs Vinson size.

Ambles or Milton would laugh at Riggs trying to cover them. He might win on a few balls, but on the ones he did not he would get flagged for PI or they could take it to the house.
