He's gonna be a Trojan as hard as it is to admit that...I had predicted he was going to be a VOL but I just can't see him leaving LA even for a chance to start as a freshman...I think the coaching staff is looking that way as well thus the Lamaison rumors...Hope I'm wrong.

I think that you're right about Scroggins, but the Lamaison rumors are unrelated, IMO. The school just jumped the gun about a week before his class was finished...but the deal has been worked out for months, though.

How can you say it would be a bad decision for him? How many QB's does UT have that are playing in the NFL that have come out in the last ten years?? Now count how many the USC program has?

This will be a huge decision for us. I was convinced he was all USC this time last week, but I can't help but have a twinge of excitment that he could pick us. If he picks up that T hat over USC and FL it will receive coverage later that night on Sportcenter. Kiffin has that much pull right now.

If he wants to stay home close to family, he won't play for 3 years. He comes to UT, he'll play in 2 years and get to watch his stock climb for the NFL.

So Jesse, if you read VN,....we want you and need you. Come to UT and you'll have streets named after you.

it's not even that Kiffin has that much pull right now (although he clearly does) it's the event in and of itself. a top rated qb picking a 5-7 team over the defending national champs and arguably the premier team in college football this decade, who so happens to be the hometown team... that would be huge.

No sure why he would choose USC? If he wants immediate playing time, he will come here. He will have to sit on the bench if he goes to USC. imo

The Elite 11 is for QBs only as I understood... no need for him to recruit for us there.

On VQ, it says that Scroggins stated he wants his father to be at the announcement. I say this means he is USC bound, or that he wants to see the look on his fathers face when he throws down a USC hat and picks up the Big Orange!

Good post TENNacious. That is why I think it is Kiffin manipulating the media. If you guys remember, everyone thought this guy was going to commit on the spot at camp. I think he did personally. Then again I could be absolutely wrong, but I choose to stay positive. :crazy:

Really?? Which other QB's has USC offered this year?? None. So that throws your assumption under the bus, and smashes it.

Kind of like a the number one recruit in the nation having a press conference in Kansas only to announce he's going to attend the University of Tennessee. Not going to happen, right?

I am not saying Scroggins is definitely coming to UT but your post is about as stupid as they get.
