I have heard rumors of that. But then again... I've heard different accounts. Could be a sign he's considering bolting to Notre Dame. But I'm not sure if I want that... I want Tennessee to beat him like a rented mule before he makes the move. I don't think I could stand UF fans saying we would never have been able to beat an Urban-coached team.

Apparently the fellow he met with (forgot his name) is also a Memphis booster. Just hearsay though.

But to get back on topic... as bad as it would be to lose Scroggins if Crompton improves a whole lot and we have a nice record and a bowl win I think the same purpose would be achieved in attracting recruits on the fence than if Scroggins committed. Hopefully, we'll have our cake and eat it too.

The thing I hope he seriously considers is that emotional decisions are fleeting. Practical, reasoned ones are far more lasting.

In his case...the new car smell will start to fade quickly, by the end of his first year. Contrasting thoughts will linger...of what it would be like if he had chosen Tennessee, where chances are...he could at that very moment be out on the field, in front of an orange sea of 107,000 screaming fans...millions watching on television nationwide, while he and the Vols clash with the Gators in Knoxville...for supremecy in the SEC, the best conference in the nation. Meanwhile, it's Aaron Corp out there in on the field, soaking up all the accolades and attention.

Emotions are fleeting indeed.

Alan Graf was the guy. I found no connection to ND other than he is from Indiana (Hoosier Grad) and is friends with Digger Phelps.

Graf is one of the most influential Memphis boosters right now, I know that for sure.

The connection could could via Nike. Graf is on the board there and obviously UF is a Nike school. May be a little of a reach, but that could be the connection. If this was any type of meeting to keep on the hush, they chose a bad place in Memphis to eat at.

UF will take any elite QB whether it's a need or not. Kind of like USC.

Scroggins isn't going to UF. USC or UT.

This is getting ridiculous. Try to come on and see if there's any updates on Jesse, and see that there is 12 new pages. Be kind of nice if people did not post if they did not have any info or updates. Just grinds my gears lol

Yea. Really though, guys would benefit us if we talked about Jesse and news and updates on him. A lot of the stuff posted is just poppycock that just isn't needed. I want this guy as a vol as much as all of you, and would like to find out what's up with him without having to read 10 pages everytime I log back on...

I'm not saying completely stop, but it gets old. Go Vols. I have tried asking for updates before and they were not replied. Sorry guys not trying to sound like a jerk just kind of bugs me. Come to UT Jesse.

Sucks about his teammate Dion. But with Jesse holding off, could help us because if he knew SC for sure he would have announced with his boy. He's still thinking for sure. 25th can't come soon enough...

No..there was an article somewhere online recently, about them going hard after a certain QB. I initially thought they were trying a last minute full court press on Scroggins, but it turned out to be a different one (for the 2010 class)

That doesn't amount to much, really. Bryce Petty (one of 2 Fulmer QB commitments) attended an Elite 11 camp, and was told, "Thank You, but No Thank You" by CLK when he came on board.

Bray attended USC's Rising Stars camp...committed to SDSU
