True, but I'm getting the feeling this guy is an independent thinker... 'a leader, not a follower.'
Haha, I'm a bit of a teetotaler, so the answer to your question is a Dr. Pepper. Or maybe... orange kool-aid.
But my reasons are:
1. Obviously the depth chart is a big issue.
2. I have faith in Kiffin and co. After seeing them pull in Bryce Brown I think they can do just about whatever they set their minds to.
3. He did not announce today. That's a biggie.
4. His dad went from saying he wanted his son to go to USC, to saying he would support him whatever school to which he decided to commit.
5. He has family in Tennessee. (Yes they're in Memphis, but regardless.)
6. Tennessee has a history of pulling in QB recruits from the west coast.
7. If he was going to commit to USC then why not sooner? Why not at the USC camp? Announcing on July 25th would be text-book Kiffin as that is very close to SEC media days.
I've probably got a few more reasons that have slipped my mind, but that's not a bad short list. IMO
Oh, btw. Bailey has already commited to USC yet Scroggins remains uncommitted.
He is all of that, according to Jesse and his coach. Thing is, how good of a friend would you be if you didn't let your friend have his time in the sun. I think this was planned honestly. That's just the way I see it.
That's just it...he commited and got no face time at all. His sittin there with Jesse on the 25th it's a splash.

You could be right. As long as he thinks it through and makes a decision, so be it. If he pulls that deal the RB who went to USCe pulled last year (waking up the morning of the announcement and deciding), I'd really feel bad for him.
It's a major decision that he'll have to live with the rest of his life. If he ends up on the USC bench and passes up his shot at being a college football hero and a 1st round NFL draft pick (what UT offers if he really is good), then he'll regret that decision the rest of his life.
It will be hard to ever overcome it. And, you know, we need a QB too badly to not move on.
This is true. Bailey commits, but the attention is on how Scroggins did not and the speculation grows larger thus overshadowing the commitment.
He's getting plenty of facetime in articles and chatter in the recruiting circles. Even if he waited, his announcement would fall short of what Jesse's is anyways. So why not let some talk happen before next week??
