If my three year old eventually gets into football and turns out to be a D1 prospect, I'll tell him to go wherever he wants.

I'll just be decked out from head to toe in orange when I say it...:)

Seriously, it's easy to say his dad should do the honorable thing (and in time his dad probably will), but it would be really hard to tell your child it's ok to move across the country when your favorite team was 20 min away.

Caller asked who was in charge of recruiting NC & SC, Hubbs said Reaves...caller asked how we were doing there Hubbs said UT got some kids into camp, but whether we sign any is another story. Hubbs said it was a good year for big OL and DL in those states but indicated Butch Davis will have a say in it, of course.

I don't think that's true. If he didn't have a future in football but had an offer from Stanford on the table and an offer from Michigan State.... you wouldn't try to sway him into going to Stanford? Maybe you wouldn't but I would hope you would. :p

It's because some TN fans are trying to be realistic and not set themselves up for disappointment. The only reason TN is even in contention for this kid is playing time. Any rational person that has looked at all the evidence knows that all signs point to him going to USC. Could he shock everyone on the 25th and pick TN or UF? Of course he could. Nothing is impossible but you can't help but notice all of the pluses for him going to Southern Cal. I know a lot of people seem to be banking on the fact the he won't be an immediate starter at USC but so what? Matt Leinart didn't start immediately. Infact he was thinking about transferring and the coaching staff talked him out of it and he ended up being a Heisman trophy winner! There's a QB drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs right now making millions of dollars who never started for USC. The whole playing time thing is a factor, but it's not as big of a factor as people might think.

I'm not going to be upset if he doesn't choose Tennessee. I agree USC has the lead. Still, nobody knows where he is going so I don't know why everyone feels the need to say they know it's USC for sure. Also, Matt Leinart is an exception. There is a good possibility that Scroggins won't get to start until he is a senior. What if Barkley redshirts and Scroggins doesn't? He may never get to start. One thing I know for certain is that he won't be jumping Barkley. I guess I could be wrong but I don't think so. This was a weak class and Scroggins was 6th/7th on rivals/scout. Barkley was in a deep class and wast 1st on both. Good luck to Scroggins if he goes that route. You can't feel good if you go into your senior season on the bench and have to hope the guy in front of you gets injured so you can get on the field. I just feel Tennessee is very much in the Scroggins race.

I agree with you. Some of the stuff that I have read in this thread; especially over the past 24 hours is creepy and stalkerish; and as a long time Tennessee fan outright embarrassing. Starting with Sabs fluffer post (which I hope can be attributed to a 3 am drunken haze) then the fluffing of Sab. Common people; stop begging and show some self respect.

PS: Which boy/girl were you most attracted to; the one who begged you and acted desperate or the one who played indifferent or hard to get.

yeah, too many reports saying we are interested in CN. I think we go after him if we miss on Scroggins, which it is lookin better for us.
