One thing knowone has thought about when it comes to them traveling is.....maybe this has been planned, maybe they don't want anyone knowing they're coming so they can see what its like without all the fan hoopla....Its easy to make things look good when you know someone is going to be checking it out....Just a thought...

By the way, I am a Vol fan through and through. I live in Western Pa, the heart of Big 10 country and I fly a orange flag with a white T on my house year round. My office has 3 autographed UT footballs, Manning, Martin and Fulmer + I have a 2007 UT Basketball team autographed ball. My ringtone is Rocky Top and my post it notes are UT....Like I said "God of the skinny white punks"

There's no doubt about it! Great stuff.

Post more often!

wrong year.

1990 was year that we got them 45-3. Dale Carter returned second half kick-off for TD.

92 game was the down pour game but score was 31-14 with Phillips taking swing pass to the house..

aww man... so close, but yet so far... thanks for the memory lesson though... I will remember from now on! :hi:

listening to the radio today in atlanta on 680thefan they had jamie newberg on there talking about recruiting he said he didnt know much about the juco transfer ut got but he did say vol fans would be dissapointed as early as tomorrow that jesse scroggings would be announcing his decision tomorrow and he said that about 95percent sure he will be a trojan.didnt know if anybody else heard it.

It's BS, he has no idea....Scroggins has said the 25th and it will be the 25th

Someone on the Scroggins recruiting thread is claiming that Scroggins, Bailey and Milton are all coming for a visit this weekend. He is coming off as reliable but who knows. That I would throw that in this thread. Awesome if it's true.

The 3 of them coming to K-Town this weekend (if it turns out true) would be unbelievably awesome for UT! I would find it hard for Bailey to commit to UT today since he hasn't been to K-Town as of yet. I know he wanted to come on an official visit during the season, but with him coming this weekend, that says to me Scroggins has made up his mind and would like to have Bailey see it with him before he commits. That's JMO though.

Folks I'm leaving my office...I'm going home to make fun of my neighbors cause they're OSU fans....I always tell them its better to be 5-7 in the SEC than 10-1 in the Big 10....Hope my brother is right or its ass kicking time

Both Lakewood four-star prospects Jesse Scroggins and Dion Bailey are up in Oregon for the NIKE 7ON Passing League Championship. The team left LAX early this morning and arrived in Beaverton for the two day event. The latest I've heard is that Bailey and Scroggins may have to push their announcement back a week. As mentioned before, the Elite 11 continues to be the mainstay date, so we'll see what happens. They're going to announce together and want to do it on ESPN, but logistics seem to be a challenge. That's all for now.

Rivals will have video highlights and interviews from the event Thursday and Friday, so stay tuned for that. Unless something breaks, I'll probably be away from the site until next week.

Gerald Martinez (USC)

I feel for Jesse. I mean, it's a hard decision to make. It would be hard for any of us. I mean, we're all thinking "Yeah, we'd pick Tennessee." But I mean, the boy lives in California, 20 minutes from USC, so you know he's feeling it from the hometown folks to go to USC. He's a top prospect, who MIGHT get SOME playing time, at USC, who is a winner. I mean, a dream in playing for your hometown team and playing for a National Championship with some of the best players in the country...

BUT YET...

He is still looking at us, a team whose last year record was 5-7, who brought in a whole new staff, who is 0-0, who has no for sure quarterback or offensive identity, who is on the other side of the country, who will pressure him to be the face of our franchise as soon as he gets here.

I mean, we shouldn't be in this, but we are, so I'm just hoping for the best. If we don't get him, the mere fact that we're in it with the big boys is saying something.

if you turn out to be right about this, then i will make you a VN guru, even though i do not have the authority to do so.

but you will be one in my mind

Agree absolutely....Hubbs on the radio now

True, but keep in mind, when Kiffin started at USC, he would have felt that way about being in it with us.

SC is now where we were then. That was before some of these guys knew us, but UT football is the real deal. That's why CLK's image is posted all over UF's locker room. Urban hasn't seen Tennessee football yet, but he knows it's a beast he doesn't want to see.

Go Vols!

"All signs point to USC, I talked to his dad last night he acted coy, like he didn't know what was going on" per hubbs...

Just got a text from a buddy who is somewhat in the trojan loop that both bailey and scroggins wanted to announce together today since jesse will be solo next week but it did not happen today.

bailey was deciding between USC and ND and Jesse was deciding between USC,UF and some other school :)

All indications is that it is a good day coming in Trojanville

It would be nice if we could stay positive with his dad.

The man only wants what he sees is best for his son. He's not trying to trick, decieve, or manipulate anyone. He's involved in his son's life and has said he'd support whatever decision he makes.

That's what Bryce's dad did. That's all we can ask.

It's becoming obvious that it's just going to be a "wait until it happens" Actually, it's become way past obvious that it's going to be a "wait until it happens"

If true, are we suppose to be happy for you or something?

I can see you're more concerned now that Bailey is involved.

That's a bit transparent. I understand why, but dude, stay real with us.

You'd hope so but his dad is a USC fan(maybe even alum) and he may want his son to play for his school and play where he can see him. If that was his reasoning for wanting him to go to USC, that is not looking out for his sons best interest. That would be his best interests. I don't know his dad so I'd hope that's not the case. I am sure you are right about him looking out for his best interests. I'm just saying if that was his reasoning for wanting JS to go to USC, that's terrible.
