For those of you Vol fans that think Bailey picking ND would be a good thing (for the Vols) may be right ... but unfortunately he's never been to ND. And 99% of the time, a kid that hasn't visited the ND campus goes elsewhere.

Well, if they are coming here, the weekend before they commit, I view that as pretty darn big news. Making a flight from California to Knoxville is not something you do if a school is not still in the running, and you've got your mind made up.

All due respect...I'll believe this when it's confirmed by an official source...

This is too big of a thing for nobody to have heard of it less than 3 days befoer it's supposed to happen...

I find this pretty difficult to believe. Actually, the second paragraph is more believable than the first.

Seems Bailey is still considering us based on rivals article.

I hope everyone has learned their lesson. We all know how Griff does not do his research and has his bias. Many writers do this but once upon a time before Gore invented the internet no one checked out their info. They are not any better analyst then we are at home on our coaches. They just have sources and phone numbers. Their analysis is as good as the source they have.

They make there opinions otherwise based on fact like the ones LWS has clearly shown. Kids generally pick the home school most the time. In Scroggins case though this just makes it 50/50 in my mind.

All could work out the way they said and they are geniouses or they are wrong and they will never bring it up again.

I'm not buying it yet, either. But nothing is 'too big' for this staff to keep under the rug.

Yeah, nobody knows if its true, especially since no word has been said before now. But....I like optimism, and IF it's true, awesome. Amazing even. But if not, we've still got a good chance at it. We DO know Milton is visiting for a fact, right?

This staff has pulled last-second surprises out of its hat before (e.g., Janzen Jackson, Bryce Brown). I'm not going to completely write it off yet, but I'm waiting for other sources of confirmation before I believe it's 100% true that they are visiting this weekend.

You're talking about the highest profile recruit we're after right now...a guy alot of people are deeming the savior of the program...

This thread is almost 500 pages and 8000 posts long...and nobody knew these 3 were coming this weekend...

So don't freak out but, my brother just texted me and said, "Scroggins just committed to FLA on ESPN.com"

I've texted him back asking if he's BSing me, but no response. He's in the medical field and may not be able to respond very quickly.

I looked on ESPN.com and didn't see anything like that, can someone confirm this or deny it?

Hopefully he's just being a jerk, and if so, I apologize for the false alarm and I’ll delete this post.

You don't have to believe me but he keeps me pretty much in the loop. He's very reliable on his info. He told me about a week prior to BB committing that it was a done deal.....

All I can say it find out where the ROCK is and paint it

I'll believe you...just cause I really want to. And if he works in the Athletic Dept, he's got a lot more credibility than most of us on here.

We didn't know about BB until he put the cap on--and there were 10k or more people following it closely.

These guys keep secrets well.

I'm not sure I buy that one.... and how could someone who would paint the rock not know where it is?

Not to be argumentative, but we heard extremely strong indications from VSPN that BB was coming to campus the weekend before his decision, and that we "would be very pleased with his decision" or something along those lines. I'm not going to say that there weren't any doubts...but VSPN obviously was well aware of what was going on and was pretty convinced that he was coming here.

I would consider that a very different situation....
