i'm not giving up on scroggins...i think its a positive that he is not commiting today. i was just thinking about the other options if they do go after him (brunetti). and i also wonder...what is the difference between a 4* pro-style QB and a 4* dual threat qb. does it mean that the pro-style qb is a 4* passer, and the dual threat guy is a good combo of running and passing to equal a 4* rating, or could he be a 4* passer who can also run, which would actually make a 4* dual threat the better choice, right? i hope that made sense...the thoughts were clear in my head
however, i don't hold alot of stock in the star system anyway...bradford was a 3* qb and crompton was a 4*

The more stars, the cooler you are. In all seriousness, I'm fairly certain the stars only indicate the level interest other schools have in you. From what I understand, it is not tied to the caliber of player you are directly. Some start with 0 stars and move up to 2 or 3 stars by the end of the recruiting process.

As you can see in our 4 star Crompton... stars have little to do with ability. It's nearly all hype.

There is a little interesting tidbit on Meyer meeting with a ND booster for dinner the same day he came out and said he would never go to Notre Dame.Check out tonybasilio.com.

Meyer said the same thing when he was at Utah. He would NEVER leave there either.

Guys, be calm...
You guys are stressing over nothing. Ill put it like this.
They WANT to make it interesting...and Ill leave it at that.

i really wanna believe you. but i wouldnt be surprised if you were lying.

it would be really easy to crush everyones spirit around here by telling us hes coming here. then you could laugh at us. if you were so inclined

I will go on record and say Weiss is not going anywhere. ND will win 9 games minimum this year. I would not be shocked if the won 11. It is going to make me sick to watch and see all the ND fans crawl out of their holes and get all cocky. But they improved as the year went on last year. Schedule is weak. JC is starting to really get it and it was showing. If the D can play well they are a likely BCS bowl this year.

I read it, but I can not find anything that links Alan Graf to being a major ND booster.

He is one of the University of Memphis' top boosters (most notably he was the one that supposedly met with Pearl in Detroit). He is from Indiana (Hoosier Grad), but I have not seen anything to show his ties to ND. The closest thing I saw was a quote he made about the ND Business School and that he is friends with Digger Phelps.

Jesse's best hope of playing in a pro-style offense at UF rests on Meyer going elsewhere (e.g. ND).

UF is not in this. He's too smart to get hoodwinked by CUM.

SC is in it.

Still, I want all 3 hats on the table when he chooses. If I had my wishes, I'd want Meyer sitting in the background so he could see Jesse pick up the Vols cap. Then, I'd like to see the UF kid crying with Tebow again as they scan the camera across the UF locker room packed with Gator players assembled for the announcement.

So, if Gators fans want to believe they are in it. That's fine with me.

They = everyone involved.
I wouldnt do that, I'm also a die hard TENNESSEEAN!

I think that its just going to be hard for anyone to invest in your information without some type of solid evidence. People have come here before pretending to have news. I guess the skeptics would want to know how you have this info. I know you went to school with him, but if JS and crew are working hard to play this one to the vest, why would he tell people at school for the possibility of spoiling it?

I hope Scroggins watched the special on CSS Sports Sportsnite about 2 nights ago. They did a special on Brantley. Trust me, he will be the starter when Tebow leaves. I don't care what kind of crap Meyer is saying. They even talked about how much better his numbers were in the spring game compared to Tebow's.

I'm only going by what I saw and it was this:
Meyer seen dinning in Memphis with Fed Ex honcho Allen Graff two nights ago. Graff is a huge and prominent Notre Dame football fan and booster.

Now, this could be wrong for all I know but that is what was on the site so that is all I have to go by.Could be that Meyer and Graff are buddies and it's nothing more than that.

Still doesn't prove anything. Could be that he and Myer are just good friends. Maybe Myer was on a recruiting trip in Memphis and since he was in town he would call an old buddy up to have dinner with him. I say Meyer goes nowhere.
