Riley>Bailey but Scroggins>Rettig(Rettig does have some upside if he develops he has NFL potential). Scroggins does not throw deep ball well and has arm strength issues. He is Casey Clausen with better wheels and hopefully attitude. Rettig has the arm strength has short range touch and accuracy issues. I really dont know which is easier to develop as a coach. Anyone on here know?

The commentary from his films. That is what they said. He has air under his deep ball. Just repeating what they said. They said he would have to work on it to get to the next level(NFL). I mean please he is not the #1 QB recruit in this class or any class for a reason. If he was super accurate deep and short with power and legs then why is he not a super recruit with 5 stars? He is good very good with the short stuff and moves well this is what everyone has said that I have read or listened to.

But isn't Jesse Scroggins a lot like Tahj Boyd from last season?

Corch Kiffin said he wanted a pure pocket passer I thought...

I was just interested in you UT fans interest in Scroggins is all.

Sounds like some of you are thinking UT won't get him.

I was thinking Scroggins wasn't what Corch Kiffin was looking for in a qb.

Someone said above Tahj Boyd was damaged goods - I don't know what that means - I take it he's suggesting Boyd is hurt or something? And that's why he wouldn't work out?

But if that's not the case, isn't Boyd and Scroggins pretty similar?

Scroggins runs like Boyd but has a laser-rocket Peyton-like arm. Okay.. maybe overstating a little... :p

Who's gonna be the UT qb next year anyway?

What's the qb depth situation? Why is getting Scroggins so important?

Not only is he not a pure pocket passer - Corch Kiffin and Ed said they held off in order to get the best qb for this season's recruiting class. Not a great qb stock this season...so maybe UT could hold off another season...
